This is causing a storm and rumbling on and on....

Hallelujah! Rejoice! The progressive instinct which has brought the Christian churches to their knees in the West over the last century has at last been stymied. Not, of course, stymied by the priesthood, but by a laity which has had enough of seeing Christian dogma play second fiddle to the demented social engineering foisted on the church by a secular world which holds it in contempt.

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.

Some woman clergy were crying because of the result of the no vote. I wonder if they turn to the bible to look for the answer? Also,do they think that God influences the result of the vote? If they do, they are not accepting the answer and so now they plan to protest to get their own way.

Can you imagine the some of apostles and older men protesting at the circumcision decision to get their own way. No. All came to an agreement with the aid of the holy spirit and the scriptures.

What a muddle this Church has got itself into. It lets a woman be it's head - the Queen; it lets women become Priests and Deacons; it expects to have 26 Bishops to sit in the 'House of Lords' where secular legislation in the making gets a final say/vote before becoming law - including secular laws on discrimination and equality. Therefore, from a Worldly point of view, you can imagine the flack the church is taking for it's 'muddled thinking' and contradictory decisions.

There are now cries to have it dis-established from being a National Church, including leading the nation in Rememberance Day celebrations etc, as it doesn't know what it really stands for. Atheists and secularists and members of other religions are all agreeing with dis-establishment because they are also saying as to why, today, should one religion non-democratically be chosen to have more say in the Law-making than others in this country anyway. As prophesied, one section of Babylon the Great is having more symbolic receding of waters (of members), while the rest of our Country is literally flooding in this wet wet weather year!!

It's funny, sometimes people will realize that something is wrong or that it does not agree with the scriptures, but they don't want to "change" to a true religion.

It can be seen in a couple of his comments:

If that sounds unfair and restrictive' date=' perhaps it is. The point with belief in God is that it requires a surrender of one's personal projects and prejudices...The Christian churches have been attempting to serve two masters for the last century...[/quote']

This writer can see the fallacies of the "Church", but his next statement shows he did not really get the point:

...In backing tradition over trendiness' date=' the laity of the Church of England has urged them back onto the right path...[/quote']

"Let all things take place decently and by arrangement."

I just watched a big discussion between bishops and synods and other people and the bible was hardly mentioned at all. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01pfqhq/The_Big_Questions_Series_5_Episode_20/

Nobody brought a bible and nobody really looked to the bible for an answer but just used their opinions.

It was quite painfull to watch to be honest and makes you thankfull of the order that we have in the true christian congregation of Jehovah's witnesses.

Micah 4:5 ......"we, for our part, shall walk in the name of Jehovah our God to time indefinite, even forever."

John 15:13 "No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his life in behalf of his friends."
