Since this thread has been thoroughly discussed and to avoid discouraging posts, I would like to request this thread be closed posthaste. Will a moderator please make it so? Threat level Midnight

This is an odd thread?

Why did everyone keep posting when the author of the thread asked that it be closed...I've never seen that before.

Um, because sometimes its fun to harass Gary?

He has a good spirit and won't take offense. And he knows he is loved.

Thanks Gary for the give and take :grouphug:

The "author" of a thread has never had the say on whether it was closed or not. We have certain criteria that we follow to decide when a thread is closed.

Really ?My threads were closed when I asked. The one about brothers who sexually abuse members of the congregation having priviledges and the one about a brother using profanity...both were closed at my request.

Here's what was posted the one time I asked for a thread to be closed...

As this is one of those topics that is best discussed in private and with the elders and at the members request - it is closed.

Yes, and the reason for closing them were discussed and agreed upon first.
