Jehovah witness definition

Oxford Dictionary says;

a member of a Christian movement (the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society) founded in the US by Charles Taze Russell (1852–1916). Jehovah’s Witnesses deny many traditional Christian doctrines (including the divinity of Christ) and refuse military service and blood transfusion on religious grounds.

 

Collins English Dictionary says;

a member of a Christian Church of American origin, the followers of which believe that the end of the present world's system of government is near, that all other Churches and religions are false or evil, that all war is unlawful, and that the civil law must be resisted whenever it conflicts with their Church's own religious principles.

 

Macmillan English dictionaries says;

a member of a Christian religious group started in the US in 1872. Jehovah's Witnesses believe it is their duty to go to people's homes and prepare them for the time when our world will end and Jesus Christ will come to Earth for a second time.

Free dictionary says;

version 1:A member of a religious denomination founded in the United States during the late 19th century in which active evangelism is practiced, the imminent approach of the millennium is preached, and war and organized governmental authority in matters of conscience are strongly opposed.

The worlds description of us comes from Satan. He certainly wouldn't want them to give a favorable description.

 John 17:14  " I have given your word to them, but the world has hated them, because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world."  The "world's"  definition of Jehovah's people will never be accurate because of their hatred towards us as Jesus true followers and our spreading Jehovah's name and purpose.  At least WE know who we are:)
 

Proverbs 16:3  "Commit to Jehovah whatever you do and your plans will succeed."

And just think .... Jesus said we would be identified by our LOVE ... and none of those definitions mentioned that - except the one on JW.org by mentioning the way we live.
