Hi Friends,

You may have already heard of the great iPhone and iPad app called Workflow. It lets you build actions for your iPhone to carry out automatically. Kinda like building your own custom app.You can build as many "workflows" as you want. And you can share them for others to download straight into their Workflow app. For the past few weeks, I've been building some theocratic oriented workflows.

This video will show you how to use the awesome Workflow app to get more theocratically efficient. It will show you the following four workflows:

- Automatically view this month's field service presentations

- Find a place to take a quick break in the ministry

- Download this month's Watchtower and Awake magazines

- Send friends your estimated time of arrival to the Kingdom Hall

But these are just scratching the surface. Here are a number of workflows to help you in the field ministry and at congregation meetings: http://appchasers.com/2015/03/17/video-optimize-your-theocratic-schedule-using-workflow-for-iphone-and-ipad/

I wonder if we will reach the point where all the "helps" actually become counter-productive?

-Dave

That's a good point. Hopefully, these shortcuts won't fall into that category. But instead make the friends more productive, and have fun keeping up with theocratic things.

I'm working on another workflow right now that will grab today's daily text and read it out loud to you.

If you all think of any other shortcuts like these that you feel will be beneficial, please let me know in the comments. I'd like to hear your ideas!

Just added a workflow that will grab today’s Daily Text from wol.jw.org. Then Siri will read it to you out loud. When finished, the text will display for you to review. I like to run this workflow every morning while getting ready for the day.

I've also added a few language variations to the Magazine Presentations, and Current Magazines workflows. French and Chinese added.

  • 2 weeks later...

For those interested in a workflow for the Memorial Bible Reading, I just added one to the comments section at the end of my original article here: http://appchasers.com/2015/03/17/video-optimize-your-theocratic-schedule-using-workflow-for-iphone-and-ipad/

This workflow will have Siri read you the selected verses for each day this week.

Just updated with Spanish versions of the Current Magazines workflow and the Magazine Presentations workflow. So now these two workflows are available in English, Spanish, French, and Chinese.
