  1. Two scriptures can help guide us during these uncertain times. (Romans 13:1) Let every person be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God. (Acts 5:29) We must obey God as ruler rather than men. During Jesus day the High Priests basically were law makers so when they demanded Peter and his companions stop their preaching activity effectively they were making law. We know how Peter responded. Romans 13:1 and Acts 5:29 have always been a measure to help us. We will always obey the laws of the land as long as they don't conflict with God's law. A legal marriage between a man and woman is something honorable and fully supported by Jehovah God. Homosexual marriages conflict with God's laws. So while we respect individual people we absolutely do not need to compromise our beliefs towards gay marriages like the rest of society has. Besides unless we have relatives who are now "legally" gay married most of us will never have to deal with it directly. Personally if the subject comes up in the field I'm just going avoid it and concentrate on the Kingdom message and blessings. Besides, after all, the kingdom is why we go out in service right? However, Jehovah is aware of what's going and I have no doubts that he will eventually help the governing body clarify matters for us just like they did back during the neutrality issue and flag saluting, and just like the ancient governing body did during the circumcision issue. All we need to do is "Stand firm and see the salvation of Jehovah." (Exodus 14:13)
  2. Hi Sister Luezette. I understand your feelings, but keep in mind this is the world's problems which is ultimately all part of Satan's system of things. All the things people do in this world is completely irrelevant to who we are as a people and who we support and what our hope for the future is. The world is absolutely DROWNING in problems such as injustice, racism and lying. But we, Jehovah's people, are free from such woes. Because Jehovah is good and he cares for us! The long and short is don't worry about Satan's world because it's not going to last long.
  3. A friend in my hall was happy that his wife could get cataract surgery basically for free. I told him I was very happy to help pay for the operation and look forward to never needing healthcare in the new system.
  4. Now, more than ever, discernment and tact are important. Remember: we love people. All kinds of people. What they do in their personal life is really none of our business. We don't judge and never have. We are simply sharing an important, life-saving message. We can focus God's Words on His kingdom blessings such as no more crime, living forever, the paradise earth and peace with the animals. There's no need to get dogmatic about gay marriage on the first or second call. That will come with time and study. Eventually the student will learn God's view on homosexuality just like they will learn God's view on sex outside of marriage. To sum up: "Take into consideration what is fine from the viewpoint of all men. If possible, as far as it depends on you, be peaceable with all men." (2 Corinthians 12:17,18) If you come across an irate or hostile person who takes issue with our views on homosexuality the best thing to do is walk away. Perhaps in the future they will become more receptive to the Bible's message.
  5. Youtube has assembled a wonderful and colorful collection of life. Most of it of the natural world; bringing praise and honor to Jehovah's glory. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbpi6ZahtOH6qU1WZzpcYz6hPhPRMByo8 Here are a few samples Remember, these videos are 4K in quality. This means if you have the television that supports the format and an Internet speed of 25 Mbps you can watch them in stunning 4K quality. If you choose to view them through your browser I recommend any other browser besides Chrome. Chrome is the best browser for viewing 4K viewings due to its "stuttering" problems. Enjoy dear brothers and sisters.
  6. (Isaiah 5:20) Woe to those who say that good is bad and bad is good (2 Timothy 3:13) But wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse
  7. I know that it’s been rough, It shows in your reflection, You’ve fallen out of touch, Got lost along the way, I know it’s not enough, But these things they all get better, And even if its tough, This is us, you know it on the inside, This is us, so you should show it on the outside, This is us, dust the dust up off your shoulders, Feet on ground, you’ll come round, And be human again. I know that its been hard, But even when its hurting, You’re gonna have to start, To learn to recognise, That even in the dark, Theres lines between the spaces, Hiding where you are, This is us, you know it on the inside, This is us, so you should show it on the outside, This is us, dust the dust up off your shoulders, Feet on ground, you’ll come round, And be human again.
  8. It's like Jehovah is singing this song to each of us. I'll be your candle on the water My love for you will always burn I know you're lost and drifting But the clouds are lifting Don't give up, you'll have somewhere to turn I'll be your candle on the water 'Til every wave is warm and bright My soul is there beside you Let this candle guide you Soon you'll see a golden stream of light A cold and friendless tide has found you Don't let the stormy darkness pull you down I'll paint a ray of hope around you Circling in the air Lighted by a prayer I'll be your candle on the water This flame inside of me will grow Keep holding on you'll make it Here's my hand so take it Look for me reaching out to show As sure as rivers flow I'll never let you go I'll never let you go I'll never let you go
  9. Hi brother! Could you provide us with a list of what you have transcribed? I'd be more than happy to transcribe more.
  10. Take it one step further. Also read Psalms 37:29.
  11. Hello brothers and sisters! I am happy to post this wonderful yearbook of the 2014 International Convention from Atlanta, United States! This website has lots of videos, photos, experience, information and so much more to spiritually feast on. Enjoy! http://www.atlantadelegates.com/ Also JW.org notes the very warm welcome the city of Atlanta extended to domestic and international delegates. http://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/conventions/atlanta-welcomes-jehovahs-witnesses/
  12. Quiet nights of quiet stars Quiet cords from my guitar Floating on the silence that surrounds us Quiet thoughts and quiet dreams Quiet walks by quiet streams And the window looking on the mountains and the sea how lovely This is where i want to be Here with you so close to me Until the final flicker of life's ember I who was lost and lonely Believing life was only A bitter tragic joke Have found with you The meaning of existence Oh my love This is where i want to be Here with you so close to me Until the final flicker of life's ember I who was lost and lonely Believing life was only A bitter tragic joke Have found with you The meaning of existence Oh my love
  13. Giving Jehovah a heartfelt prayer to thank him and his son for allowing me to be in the new system despite all my many character flaws and shortcomings.
  14. That's why we have such a wonderful organization. We don't want to do anything to cause a stumbling of our dear brothers and sisters. If the friends in your hall would rather not see the film because of the words then that's a fine decision.
  15. Jehovah sure knows how to make cute baby elephants? Bonus!
