  1. Is this just me? In the JW app, under meetings (change the date to a date after Jan 1), I noticed that when you click the songs linked for next week's meeting (first weekly meeting for January), the number and song correspond to the NEW SJJ songs. However, the attached picture is still the Sing to Jehovah song book. Just a little confusing.
  2. Now they are reporting that her mom (Debbie Reynolds) possibly had a stroke. Very sad.
  3. We find out tomorrow night. Most likely Jersey City again although I hold out hope for Trenton again.
  4. Say it ain't so. A sister in my congregation completely loves dessert before food. She lights up.
  5. They mentioned at the AM that this happened to aid language translation. They spaced things out to accommodate the need for more syllable spacing for words in other languages. Hope that makes sense...
  6. Unfortunately, I figured that rooting was limited to Androids. I know more about computers than I do about mobile devices. But since I'm about to start a collection of old tablets, I thought I would ask if it's difficult to learn. My dad keeps touting how he had the full WT library on his Windows 10 device over my lowly (and limited) iOS tablet. It would be nice to learn how to strip it down enough to play with. So if I jailbreak it, what exactly can I do to increase the functionality?
  7. Serious question here, can you root an iOS device?. Or is it only recommended for experienced ones, not a curious novice such as myself?
  8. With the notes feature, I thought it had been said before that it was always planned but the issue was always making sure it was compatible with the many different mobile devices used by the friends around the world. Not to mention the issue of making sure you don't lose your notes when upgrade or lose your device without creating a login based system. I thought the eQuipd brother sort of alluded to this a while back.
  9. But you can download the PDF versions of all WTs back to 2000 on jw.org. When I need a picture, I do this.
  10. Very sad indeed. The other article I found seemed too imply that he had been a part of the congregation yet they had divorced. Is that true or a poor translation?
  11. Since we have a huge cleaning project to do, I look forward to the first completed project. It will be like unveiling a new branch project along with a beautiful dedication program praising Jehovah.
  12. Can you imagine the first broadcast shows with each new resurrection of people we want to get to know?. Talk about must watch tv...
  13. Just started reading and I slowed down to look up the references under the light gets brighter. This will definitely take some time.
  14. The data recovery efforts were taking a very long time so I decided to reformat the drive which ALSO took a long long time. I really think the drive is damaged enough not to try to use it for much more than a brick so I will likely just purchase a new drive.
  15. Nope. We've never had a problem. Just be sure you use deep pocket fitted sheets as the shallow ones won't work.
  16. He needs to download an epub reader like MoonReader or UB Reader (there are lots of choices) to be able to use the the epub option.
  17. Yes, Tim, that's what attracted us to the idea. I went to the store quite a few times before I really bought into the system. But what attracted me was an accident that happened on my old mattress. A guest had an accident in bed. While I wanted to toss the mattress after the fact, due to the expense, I could not. So, I cleaned it as best I could and flipped it over. Now, with a separate pillow topper, I can afford to toss it (if necessary) and replace out and a fraction of the cost.
  18. I accidentally dropped my BACKUP hard drive. Currently, my computer only recognizes it as "local drive". I've been running CHKDSK /f /r so I can see some of the files. But, what else can I do? With the right software, if I grab the files off of the corrupted drive, I can work with that. But, what do I use?. What do I need? Help!
  19. We bought the pillow top separately. I like that system best because you can replace the topper portion at a lower cost on a more frequent basis and still have a nice mattress beneath. Plus it allows you to select a topper that fits your needs that you rotate between.
  20. I'm not sure how much money you want to spend on this, but there is a device called a Hauppauge PVR which can help you do the job. Have you checked hulu.com to see if they had some of the shows?
  21. They don't make the model we bought any longer but I think the Hallen is the closest match.
  22. The directions also mention using the Ethernet port if USB doesn't work.
  23. I'm sorry. I didn't really make a recommendation because you need to go and test the mattresses in store to see which ones you like best. But I got a spring mattress with a pillow top style topper.
