  1. Marquette is about 45 miles west of where I live. Even further west of Marquette there in pink is getting freezing rain. Already cause a 3 car crash. Munising is with the blue pin. So far Munising is just getting rain. I hope it stays that way. You can't go any further north unless you want to go to Canada.
  2. I can’t get over having rooms already for our May convention. 🤓 I feel like it’s a sealed deal now. To me this is “one” of the biggest pieces to preparing for it. Now that this is out of the way, we can wait for the program to come out. Ooooo, can’t wait to see what they have for us in the symposiums.
  3. O it’s a typical Michigan fall day. It might happen off and on. Probably won’t stay at all. The sun keeps popping in and out. its about 36 degrees F, or 2 C
  4. Yuck!! I’m NOT ready for this!!!! ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
  5. Me too! You did get in there. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 (((((((((((((Ross))))))))))))) Yeah, busy, busy, busy. Finally starting ringing and I think I let it ring 100 times. I was NOT about to give up. Took too long to get to that point. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
  6. I’ve seen videos I think it was of Mexico Beach? Looked like a bomb went off. Houses flattened, trees destroyed. Had to be terrifying.
  7. To think, all Jesus said was, “Hush, be quiet!” And the wind died down and the waters calmed down. Mark 4:39 “With that he got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea: “Hush! Be quiet!” And the wind abated, and a great calm set in.”
  8. Thank you Br. John for that explanation. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
  9. I’ve been wondering too about the timing of rooming. Another thing i dont understand is in the letter it says we might need a group code. We can start getting rooms on Monday morning but the rooming list won’t be put up till midweek meeting. So if we find out we need that group code trying to get a room early is nul and void. ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

Earthquakes In One Place After Another...

https://www.uppermichiganssource.com/content/news/Haiti-earthquake-kills-11-injures-135-495384971.html PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) Emergency teams worked to provide relief in Haiti on Sunday after a magnitude 5.9 earthquake killed 11 people and left 135 injured. The country’s civil protection agency said that at least seven people died in the coastal city of Port-de-Paix and three people died in the nearby community of Gros-Morne in the province of Artibonite. It said that the injured were being treated at medical centers in the northern part of the country. Secretary of State for Communications Eddy Jackson Alexis said a preliminary report indicated that 11 people had died. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake hit at 8:11 p.m. Saturday night (001 GMT) and was centered 12 miles (19 kilometers) northwest of Port-de-Paix, which is about 136 miles (219 kilometers) from the capital of Port-au-Prince. The quake was 7.3 miles (11.7 kilometers) below the surface. It was felt lightly in the capital, as well as in the neighboring Dominican Republic and in eastern Cuba. The civil protection agency issued a statement saying that some houses were destroyed in Port-de-Paix, Gros Morne, Chansolme and Turtle Island. Among the structures damaged was the Saint-Michel church in Plaisance. Rescue workers reported the collapse of part of a hospital in Gros-Morne and an auditorium as the quake hit on a rainy evening. They also reported damage at the police station in Port-de-Paix. Parliamentarian Alcide Audne told The Associated Press that two of the deaths occurred in the auditorium. Haiti President Jovenel Moise indicated in his Twitter account Sunday that civil protection brigades were working to clear debris and help victims. He also said the government had sent water and food. Impoverished Haiti, where many live in tenuous circumstances, is especially vulnerable to earthquakes. A vastly larger magnitude 7.1 quake damaged much of the capital in 2010 and killed an estimated 300,000 people.

  18. Well, it has been one long day. Brought my adopted spiritual mom for a doctor’s appointment 3 hours away. Handicapped Dad came along for the ride. 😊😊

Get there and find out that it was tomorrow. The receptionist had told mom repeatedly it was Tuesday when appointment was made.

Neither mom or I am happy about this as we have to do this all over tomorrow. 😭😭😭😭

As dad came along, I have to get out his walker each time he gets out and his homemade board thingy that he steps up on to help him get back in my Trailblazer each time.

With my bad knees it makes for a long day.

I love him dearly, but I asked mom to see if dad could stay home tomorrow. He had already made sure he knew what time we ar3 leaving.              I know I’m so evil 😈

    Round trip it’s 250 miles 😳😳😳😳😳

    Back on the road again.

What I’m sad about is too exhausted for the meeting tonight (got home after 6 pm) and no service tomorrow.

At least I can listen in.

Sorry for the as usual book.

But I’m sincerely hoping this doctor will help her out.

I thought I would sleep the minute my head hit the pillow. Nope..after 3 this morning.

Anyway, mom just messaged me to let me know she’s cancelling today, she’s too exhausted.

I was not not looking forward to driving in the pouring rain.

It is so gloomy today. It’s 59* out with a nice south breeze.

Just came back from running errands. Felt good to get out of my dark house.

      Take care

  19. Dunkin‘ Donuts 🍩 is just shortening its name. 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓 http://www.fox2detroit.com/news/just-dunkin-dunkin-donuts-to-change-its-name-1 🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩 Dunkin' is dropping the donuts - from its name, anyway. Doughnuts are still on the menu, but Dunkin' Donuts is renaming itself Dunkin' to reflect its increasing emphasis on coffee and other drinks, which make up 60 percent of its sales. The 68-year-old chain has toyed with the idea for a while. In 2006, it released a new motto - "America runs on Dunkin' - that didn't mention doughnuts. Last fall, it tested the "Dunkin'" logo on a new store in Pasadena, California; it has put the name on a few other stores since then. "Our new branding is a clear signal that there's something new at Dunkin'. It speaks to the breadth of our offerings," said David Hoffman, the CEO Dunkin' Brands, the chain's parent company, in a conference call with media. The name change will officially take place in January, when it will start appearing on napkins, boxes and signs at new and remodeled U.S. stores. The change will gradually be adopted as franchisees update their stores. It will be phased in overseas over the next year, the company said. Dunkin' Donuts has 12,500 restaurants worldwide. The new logo will still have Dunkin' Donuts' familiar rounded font and orange-and-pink color scheme, which the company has used since 1973. The Canton, Massachusetts-based company isn't saying how much the change will cost. Dunkin' Donuts has always sold coffee, but hot breakfast sandwiches and specialty drinks like the fruity Coolatta and Cold Brew iced coffee have become increasingly important to the chain. In the second quarter of this year, the company noted that overall U.S. store traffic was down, but revenue was up thanks to sales of higher-margin iced coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches. Dunkin' says the name change is one of several things it's doing to stay relevant to younger customers. It's also simplifying its menu and adding dedicated mobile ordering lanes. But changing the name of iconic brands can be a big mistake, says Laura Ries, an Atlanta-based marketing consultant. Ries says "Dunkin'" eventually won't mean anything to younger customers who haven't grown up with the full name. Specific words are easier for people to remember and conjure emotional connections, she said. Having "Donuts" in the name is also easier for people in overseas markets who may not know what "Dunkin'" means. Messing with iconic brands can also have consequences. In 2016, 15 years after replacing Kentucky Fried Chicken with KFC, the company had to issue a press release to combat an online rumor that it was forced to change its name because it doesn't serve real chicken. And IHOP faced some backlash earlier this summer when it announced it was changing its name to IHOb to remind customers that it serves burgers as well as pancakes. That one was a publicity stunt, but it annoyed some customers. Dunkin' Donuts' Chief Marketing Officer Tony Weisman said the company has done a lot of testing and doesn't expect any customer backlash from the decision. "The reaction has been overwhelmingly positive," Weisman said. "It's just going to feel very familiar to people." But Reis said even if doughnuts have fallen out of favor among a more health-conscious customer base, people already know Dunkin' Donuts as a place where they can just get coffee and enjoy the doughnuts' smell. "There's nothing wrong with still having 'Donuts' in your name," she said. "Long term it was helping them, giving them a brand identity that was the opposite of Starbucks."
  20. Yep, us U P (Yooper) Michigan women are ruff. 😁😁😁😁😁😁
  21. Well, I still don’t know what is going on.

2 weeks ago I woke up in the middle of the night, got out of bed and my good knee has gone bad. Other than all the thrashing around I do when asleep I have no idea what happened.

After 2 weeks of pain, struggling up and down stairs, etc I decided to go to the ER.     X rays taken, diagnosis....inconclusive. 😳😳😳😳😡😡😡😡😡😡 Story of my life.

    ”Shows just a little arthritis.”

So I go home not knowing anymore than before I went there.

Altho my side of the Circuit goes to the Assembly tomorrow, I thought I’d try going to the other side today. Try it just for the morning. Not knowing how things would work out.

Without going into details, it didn’t work out. Another hour long drive home. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Ross if you read this, take extra good notes...like you always do. 😁😁😁  Couldn’t sit upstairs with you anyway. ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
