  1. I was just checking my search engine to see if any lastest news but didn’t find any. If this about the San Diego Kingdom Hall has already been discussed in a earlier topic I apologize in advance because I don’t recall hearing about this. I realize this may be old news to some. But there was a Kingdom Hall back in 2011 and 2012 that was hit by arson 3 times. http://www.cbs8.com/story/21971704/kingdom-hall-reopens-after-devastating-arson-attacks SAN DIEGO (CBS 😎 - It is a brand-new beginning for the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in University Heights which had been targeted by arsonists three times, beginning in December 2011. With the help of hundreds of volunteers donating their time, labor and expertise the hall has now been completely re-built. "It really is a blessing to be back in here," said Kingdom Hall's Local Elder Ted Dorius. It was a blessed new beginning Saturday for the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall on Adams Avenue in University Heights. From its landscaping outside to its main auditorium inside -- with seats, carpet and state of the art video system, an updated security system including reinforced doors, as well as its conference room and auxiliary classroom used for bible education. "More people can participate in our school... We can have two schools going on at the same time," said Dorius. In late 2011 and early 2012, arsonists targeted Kingdom Hall three times, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage. "We weren't able to save one thing out of the Kingdom Hall," he said. In one incident, firefighters found someone had broken into the hall and doused it with gasoline, although failed to start a fire. The building was also vandalized, with part of the exterior church sign torn down and the numbers 666 spray painted on a wall. "It was very disappointing somebody would do that," said Dorius. While the building was destroyed, the congregants' spirit was not, coming together from across San Diego to help re-build. "Many of our brothers are professionals in the building industry -- so they volunteered their time," he said. In all, a crew of 776 volunteers worked for a total of 14 weekends to help complete this modernized Kingdom Hall, bringing everything up to current code. The old hall was built in 1960, the surrounding community also impacted by the arson attacks, showed its support as well. "We've gotten a lot of support from our neighbors... Some left flowers, some wanted to contribute money toward the feeding of the volunteers," he said. During the past year, the five congregations which use this hall, more than 300 members, met in other Kingdom Hall locations throughout San Diego. "We didn't miss a meeting during all that time," said Dorius.

Looks like the fires from Canada is going to help the meteor shower either. This is from our area’s weather service
  3. More Canadian fires 🔥Wow! https://vancouversun.com/news/local-news/wildfires-2018-462-fires-burning-across-province Firefighters are bracing for more hot weather and lightning storms as 462 wildfires burn across the province in all six fire zones. “We are looking at significant fire activity from one corner of our province to the other,” said Kevin Skrepnek, chief fire information officer with the B.C. Wildfire Service. Skrepnek said Wednesday there were 44 new fires, most of which were sparked by lightning. Twenty-five of the 462 fires burning are considered wildfires of note, and 28,000 firefighters, including 100 out of province workers, are battling the fires. The number of fires is much higher than the 130 fires reported on the same date one year ago, said Skrepnek. On Wednesday, there were 22 evacuation alerts issued across the province, and 18 evacuation orders. This was updated on August 8.
  4. Wow! Thanks ! Wish we we could see beautiful birds like this in Michigan 🙂 I mean we do have some awesome looking bird types but this is gorgeous. Feeding The sunbittern consumes a wide range of animal prey. Insects form an important part of the diet, with cockroaches, dragonfly larvae, flies, katydids, water beetles and moths being taken. Other invertebrate prey includes crabs, spiders, shrimps and earthworms. They will also take vertebrate prey including fish, tadpoles, toads and frogs, eels and lizards.[3] Sunbitterns are one of 12 species of birds in five families that have been described as fishing using baits or lures to attract prey to within striking distance. This type of behaviour falls within the common definition of tool use. In sunbitterns this behaviour has only been observed in captive birds so far. Here in a few states we could use these birds to get rid of cockroaches. We’d have some fat birdies. LOL
  5. Okay, has anyone ever seen this type of bird. Looks like some kind of duck 🦆. Jehovah’s creative paintbrush was busy here. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
  6. Wow! They’re upping the reward. 💰💰💰💰💰💰 Thank goodness there was no real damage. What scares me is each time the guy gets away with it he will get braver and braver.

    A good joke

I apologize in advance if this is posted in the wrong place but what it says made me chuckle. My worldly cousin posted this on Facebook. I read the first couple lines and couldn’t help but laugh. I had to stop reading when it said in the second line: My name is God. 😁😁😁😁😁😁 There was more to it but just left it out. 😁😁😁
  8. I loved that illustration too. I’d have to go buy one. 😀😀😀😀😀😀 But I’d be ready to do it. I naturally loved the part too about appreciating our elders. As Br. lett was talking it made me think of how close our congregation came to losing 2 of our elders this spring. Our coordinator had a heart attack and another elder had that bad accident trying to clear ice/snow from the roof and that chunk of ice came down injuring him quite badly. Thankfully both are doing well. But it all shows how things can change for a congregation in an instant. A lot of work would have been thrown on the other 2 elders, on top of what they already have. So now is the time to let them all know how much we appreciate their hard work. I always say, I’m glad the brothers are the ones that have to do this. ☺️☺️☺️☺️
  9. O I agree with you, Br. Carlos wholeheartedly. There’s a commercial about the Humane Society here that naturally is about donating so they can help abused, unwanted animals. I can’t watch it cause they just want to reach people’s emotions. They do a good job of it too. The first time I saw the pictures of the animals just make me so sad. I now flip the channel or FF the recorded show. I keep thinking when Jehovah is this going to stop?
  10. Marquette is about 45 miles west of where I live. Even further west of Marquette there in pink is getting freezing rain. Already cause a 3 car crash. Munising is with the blue pin. So far Munising is just getting rain. I hope it stays that way. You can't go any further north unless you want to go to Canada.
  11. Special weather statement for your area, Ross. its 9:07 pm it lasts till 9:30 Hope you are on board.
  12. Nice pic/video Ross Majority of humans just take up far too much air. 😡😡😡😡😡😡 I had the privilege to go to Yellowstone. Got to see these beautiful animals, quite a few in a herd. Even got to see a darling baby. From the vehicle managed to see one VERY close up. Just the Head is so massive, let alone the entire animal. If this poor animal woulda attacked this fool, the bison would more than likely paid the ultimate price. I am soooo glad this idiot was arrested. Hope other than jail time the fine REALLY hurts his pocketbook.
  13. Was your Macaw out of his cage? He could been curious about your computer and been making changes. 😁😁 I know not funny....just couldn’t resist.
  14. I think all of us treasure that entire Watchtower. The clarifications were so well explained. i really like it when the information starts out by saying something like: this is how we originally understood these verses. But after further study we feel the need for some clarification. And than they explain it in such a way that it make it so easily understood. 😁😁

This is just a probable cause of the Redding CARR fire 🔥. http://www.norcalblogs.com/postscripts/2018/07/28/ca-fires-redding/ CA FIRES – REDDING – Possible Cause Revealed Posted on Saturday, July 28, 2018 by Post Scripts by Jack Updated 2200 hrs., 7/28/18. Possible cause of CARR fire in Redding, pickup truck towing a car trailer. Trailer had flat, but driver did not notice the noise of tire coming apart or notice how it was pulling. He continued to drive on the flat tire until the steel rim hit the pavement and showered sparks as he continued to drive… until it was too late. The fire was already starting. If this story changes, we’ll update it.
  18. That is why I so much look forward to the fulfillment of Revelation 11:18. That is what keeps me sane when I hear of animals being abused. For this it cant happen to soon for me.
