Puddles ...

No ... not Jemima Puddleduck - a very lovely creation of Beatrice Potter. But rather, I bring to you today, a clown ... Please meet Puddles.

 

Normally I would concede with Mr. Simon Cowell in my repudiation of clowns and all that belongs to them. This guy though intrigues me (as does his alter ego Micheal).

 

I'll give you three songs of his here, you may have heard the entry for his work on AGT ... but this goes a little further onto Youtube channels with unique songs, songs that seem to reflect Puddle's broken heart. (Part of the act).   Like Puddle's Pity Party.

 

In some of his songs I think his voice is magnificent in others I don't think he quite makes it. But I've given you guys a few of my favourites to share with you the awkward, but lovable phenomena that is Puddles.

He's incredible. I first heard his rendition of "Royals" by Lorde a few years ago... blew me away. I don't even like her singing it.

We loved him on AGT and we looked at a lot of his other songs on YT. I was really wondering what he was going to sing on AGT and I think his last song was just a bad song choice. 

He has created a character and the song didn't stay in character. 

 

I loved his duet with Haley, she is the only American Idol contestant that I ever voted for after she sang "Blue"

I was glad Puddles was on this season.  Despite this, it wasn't necessary for him to win.  With social media today, he can get quite popular without winning millions of dollars.

I  agree he didn't stay in character with the mood of that song.

I think his video package played Mad World, he should have stayed in character and sung it. I was also hoping he would have done Tears of a Clown or something similar.
