Great Blue Heron lets me know he is not happy about me taking their photo. They just don't fly away, the honk or chirp whatever they do to voice they're not happy. I always thank the animals for letting me take their photos. Not sure if the neighbors hear me.

One of the most unusual sunrises I have ever seen on the Columbia River. This was taken in the Fall when we have cooler mornings with low fog. As the fog or low clouds on the river met the rising sun it created a look of fire on the Columbia River.  In the foreground are the tugs at the tug dock.

Not the "inner room" that paragraph 16 mentions. This is a 50's fallout shelter. It's interesting how nicely they are dressed! Reminds me of the drawings in the early 1960's Watchtower magazines.

What a view from Ecola State Park of Cannon Beach in Oregon.  Someone left these tulips, no doubt in memory of a lost loved one.

I wouldn't mind the periscope but I'm sure my upstairs neighbor would not be happy!

One of my favorite photos of a Red Winged Blackbird. What I like is that the bird appears to be praying. I use this photo to remind myself to take a moment and just be thankful.

Sunrise this morning on the Columbia River as fisherman get ready for their day. We have a viewpoint on Highway 30 about 3 miles from our home that provides a beautiful view of Mount St. Helens and Mount Rainier with a bonus view of the Columbia River! Pictured below is the view of Mount St. Helens, the Columbia River and the Lewis & Clark Bridge that connects Oregon to Washington State.

You're in my stomping ground. Went to school in Goble (yep, a hundred years ago 😄) granddad walked on the water at the St Helen's mill. Then as a young adult I lived with grandma in Warren and worked in St Helen's and Longview. Yup my stomping grounds.

Have lived here for 5 years since going on disability. We get the best sunrises and sunsets.

I'm the same. I drive from Washington to Astoria Oregon 3 days a week and get to see stunning sunrises, especially beautiful with ships and fog.

Our speaker was from Astoria yesterday. He arrived a little late due to traffic. I never go Astoria or the beach on weekends, especially not on Highway 30. There have been way too many accidents and fatalities as of late. Our son-in-law travels to Long Beach for his work from Clatskanie.

Since I have a sleep disorder, I try to make the best of it. I get up early, fairly quiet outside. A good time to pray and meditate.

Oh my goodness, we must talk!

Astoria is where I came into the truth. And yes 30 is awful, I lived on it for 27 years. I understand they're fixing where there were slides. Summer musta been wretched. That highway is a main reason I moved across the pond.

  • 2 weeks later...

This is a camping trip I did this past weekend. Everyone in it is a witness.

Unbeknownst to us there were many witnesses camping from all over the state.

I ran into old friends I hadn't seen in years and met some new friends too.
