I found a really nice recipe for Fattoush.

A Lebanese salad.

Chopped parsley. Mint.

Red onion. Some garlic.

Tomatoes. Red &Green Peppers. Also raddish diced &

Cucumber.

Take some flat bread & toast it. Then break it up

Add it to the fattoush.

Then add lemon juice and some olive oil pepper and salt.

Mix it up.

Enjoy.

I am also after any other salad ideas please?

MMMmm sounds delectable Gabe   ><img src=<'>

white balsamic, gotta try that sounds good too :D

adding seasoned slivered almonds and a variety cheeses to a salad

changes the flavor, keeps it interesting

also adding chopped fresh herbs when possible... cilantro, basil, etc

yes, the seed is known as coriander.

  it looks similar to parsley...

a pungent herb, it is what gives salsa the 'zip'

... great to add to any dishes that have tomatoes,

also excellent in avocado dip, lentils, zesty soups

a few thoughts, but Leslie will have better ideas :)

I like to cut up tomatoes, onions (red or Vidalia are best), celery, cucumbers, carrots (you can also add apples and/or nuts)

Put these in a bowl and salt and pepper and stir

Then, add Italian dressing or some oil and vinegar

That is my idea of a salad.

I make my own vinegar combination that is amazing on salads. I reuse a water bottle with cap. Place red onion slices, garlic, cilantro, black pepper corns, in the empty bottle, then fill with apple cider vinegar and you leave it out on the counter when you will be home for a day. Every time you walk by shake it up. At the end of the day place in the refrigerator and when you want a salad use this with a light salad oil of your choice and it adds zing.

I often take fresh tomatoes, red onions, capers, olives and place them in dish and pour some of he his vinegar on them with oil and then fresh cracked pepper...healthy and delish!

I love a good salad! Their is a local restaurant that pairs untraditional salad combos into some of the most delicious salads. The salad tend to include a variety of fruit, cheese and seasonal veggies with a complimentary dressing. Very yummy stuff.

me, I add to the above corn, peppers, beans (any love all legumes), cilantro, shredded cheese (parmesan, romano or asagio) and a light balsamic vinaigrette. And omit the cucumbers and celery

I don't like the beans so I would not want them in my salad.

Though I do like cilantro in my salsa, I do not want it in this type of salad. I really like cheese, but again, not in this salad.

And, since I DO like celery and cucumbers, I will keep adding them when I make this salad.

Now, the corn .... I could see adding this. I have, on occasion, added radishes to the mix.

As far as peppers, depends what type. Bell, Greek and such, no thanks. Jalapeno, habanero  or something like this ... those would be OK.

Dont like beans? Wow, i love any type of bean, good protein. In the new world we may not have meat, lol. I add sweet bell peppers not green. Try the cilantro, u will be amazed. The celery for u adds crunch, for me peppers. Good eats my brother.
