What are you serving/eating this Sunday - for those in the US

Recommended Posts

This Sunday is the Super Bowl. In another post it was noted that it is the second largest eating day in the US, just behind that Thursday in November.

So, if you are planning on watching the game or even having friends over for the game .... what's on your menu?

I don't know! The congregation is having a covered dish party but I will be driving back to OKC trying to get there before the winter storm beats me. Three storms moving in. Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday so I may get stuck again.

Everyone stay safe and enjoy the fellowship and treats!

Well, I tried to make a healthy menu but Lew-man over ruled me and said he wants a chili/velveeta dip and chips. Maybe I can add onion and diced tomato! Maybe I can get a veggie juice down him in the morning.

I know, not what you're looking for, I'm not very inspiring, so I'll be quiet now  and read everybody's ideas!

Well, the pizzas were really good ..... we each had our own and put on what we wanted on top.

Got some nice comments from the family on the dough and the sauce

Sorry, we were too hungry for pictures ....

So John, who made the dough and sauce?

Did not see the super bowl.  Did not see the commercials except for the Budweiser one on you tube--before the game.  Yogurt --satan's world?  Can't see a connection ---so I will take your word for it!

It was a commercial where yogurt was dropped in his lap and an inappropriate reaction from the woman was anticipated. Wrong, just wrong any time but especially during family television. Yes, Satan's worldly view.

Well, since I have been making bread/pizza dough since I was about 8/9, yes, I made the dough. I also made the sauce - again, have been doing that since I was young - and, I also made pizza for a living when I was in my 20's.

The game was not much of a gaame so I'm glad the pizza was good.

As far as the commercials went, we kinda liked the ones with Tim Tebow and the "no contract" for T-Mobile ..... especially since he went to school here.

pizza dough: try with the pizza dough you buy in the store then Fold in flour - roll it, flower fold roll it, flour fold - roll it, like you would to make a flaky pie crust.

Lynn, forgive me but I'm struggling with sarcasm right now. Oh dear here it comes, so sorry for this, cannot help myself.......what kind of flower? Marigold? Oh, maybe pansy? Or, morning glory?

Whew, I feel better now. Thank you for your suggestion. I'll give it a try, adding a dusting of flour and rolling several times

She got you!  Edible flowers?  I have never tried them.  I transpose words too (our/are, know/no)  I see many others do too.  Don't know if our brain or fingers take over (or spell check)  but never notice till I can not go back in and correct it.

Yep. I not only transpose I also say just wrong stuff. Like a post I made in "Superbowl", I said 49'rs were competing against Seahawks instead of Bronco's, all because I was talking about the 9'rs earlier that day. I'd hoped someone would catch my boo boo so I could redeem myself. Sadly not.

Lynn's was too funny not to point out. I mean it really was.
