Thinking of hosting a Bible themed costume party !

Recommended Posts

We had a "bible wax museum" a few years ago.  The best costume was the little girl dressed as Babylon the Great.  We also had a John the baptist post-beheading.

All of the participants stood for a while at their "stations" around the room.  The guests that weren't dressed up walked from station to station.  The children at each station would explain a little bit about their character, highlight's from the scriptures, etc..   Just a little minute or two presentation so the guests could move on to the next station.

We also had a "BNN Bible News Network" program with a host sitting at a desk.  She would "cut to" various "news reporters" scattered throught Bible Times interviewing Bible characters at important events in biblical history.

On another occasion we reenacted Noah and the flood.  All the little kids dressed as animals.  Some of the older kids were Noah, his family and the people they were preaching to.  A couple of adults (me and another brother) were nephilim.  During the preaching to the people, Noah and his family were showing a scroll made up to look like a Watchtower.  The cover article was "Rain - What is it?"

You could do bible trivia games.  Get a panel of "bible characters" to sit in a group like Hollywood Squares and have two contestants from the audience play Xs and Os and determine if the Bible Character is telling the truth or lying about their life event.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.
