I have came across this youtube user who seems to have the vocals to the new songs. I remember seeing someone's comment on here that he has heard it, can that person see if this is official? The song's aren't that high quality, but they sound really different.

Why does everyone find something new and immediately think "this must go on YouTube RIGHT NOW"?

These vocal renditions are obviously not (yet) meant for public release, but they're on Youtube for all to see.

The LDC video was for elders only, but it has been on and off Youtube every few days

The Happy At Bethel video was specifically for the Bethel family, but it took legal threats to get people to stop spreading it around.

Prior to the public distribution of KMs, some elders would post them online "for their field service group", which led to apostates finding those pages and re-uploading altered versions publicly, which were inadvertently used by publishers in many congregations.

Part of the US Branch Visit was posted online and out-of-context, which led to a few media outlets becoming outraged.

One Caleb and Sophia video was publicly released, but by uploading it to Youtube without context, and with apostate comments allowed to remain unfiltered, that seemingly "positive" act led to several apostate-written articles on major media outlets.

Jehovah has one sole channel of communication, the Faithful and Discreet Slave. When we subvert that channel and post things out-of-context, it dilutes the results for those seeking the real website, and it gives apostates an all new resource to reach both curious ones in the world and honest-hearted Witnesses who stumble across the page.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying there's any wrong in sharing otherwise acceptable videos that others have uploaded, I'm just curious why people continue to rush to YouTube to upload anything and everything they can find even after seeing the detrimental effects that such releases have had in the past...

That was my thought as well.

Also from the sound of it, its using keyboards etc so seems like an arrangement test. Once that is done to satisfaction, perhaps that is when they would get the orchestra together to record the final versions.

I am not saying that this is what happens but it is what came to mind when i heard it. If so, should it have been shared at all just now?

As an aside I am not blaming the poster here or anything. I listened to it as well and loved what i heard but felt uncomfortable after the previous thoughts came to mind.

The youtube user has named himself "Jehovah's Witnesses".  Sort of gives the impression that it is an official JW youtube channel.

Song 138 is also on there.  They do sound really good.  Like they were recorded during the recording session and then leaked.

I do agree with Stavro.  I don't understand why music and videos that are posted on jw.org or JW Broadcasting need to be reposted on Youtube.  For example the piano versions of Sing to Jehovah, why on Youtube?

I have used Youtube to download the orchestral versions of our songs, like the ones from our conventions.  Not sure of the legal implications of them, but the orchestral ones on not available on jw.org.  I wish they were.  Then we could have them in the original high quality glory.

Sounds like the Jehovah's Witness choir they used for the Annual General Meeting and JW Broadcasting. If so, these are public.

Just listened to the second one  - yes that's the choir used by the organization.

If so, these are public.

How so?

Public implies that they were produced and distributed through official channels. Although these was produced internally, the distribution was through unofficial means. In that case, it's no more "public" than the Youtube uploads of the elders-only LDC meeting (which has also been uploaded to this same YouTube account in the past).

It's a way to make a buzz... perhaps to make money...

if You want to ear wonderful songs, use the official channel of www.jw.org and www.tv.jw.org

Other channel is, in a way, a corrupt imitation...

Did you remember an old article speaking about the temple of Arad ?

It bears many resemblance with the temple of Salomon... the name of god was used in it! wow... practical in fact... no need to go to Jerusalem :uhhuh:

That's the same with all pseudo jw alternatives channels... many resemblances ... sometimes newest an incredible food! :uhhuh:

But Jehovah was clear ... the center of true worship was at Jerusalem, not in the city of Arad...

so, with internet, that's the same... we have sites provided by Jehovah 's spirit... and alternatives sites who can distract us from true worship

Well, if you want to share a good video of yourself playing one of our song.... why not... But don't forget that communication online have risks, especially on social and video networking as big as YouTube  ... and bible contents advises to make our online activities safer :

  • Proverbs 10:19
  • Philippians 1:10
  • Proverbs 22:1
  • Proverbs 13:20

There's so many to do with all that the organization gives us... so many to share with our family, group, and congregation...

sometime I'm sad to see how many post here are linked to others and uncontrolled sources...

I saw them all on jw.org Stavro - that is a public site - not saying I agree with re-posting onto youtube though.

Where did you find these specific vocal renditions publicly available? Could you post a link?

The only official vocal renditions I know of are in the Annual Meeting, and in the December broadcast, and both had only piano background music, not orchestra as these three do.

Yes those are what I'm referring to ... the piano ones ... I apologise Stavro ... I've not heard the orchestra before either. I just assumed it was those ones.
