MY mom has a sewing machine  

 i was thinking of using it to make  some money may be like

or make one up for Kidney awareness

Sounds like a great idea. But, doesn't making things such as logo's require an embroidery machine and not just a sewing machine?

You can always find lots of business doing custom tailoring. The brothers are always looking for someone to hem up new suits or let out the belly.   

And you can always make beautiful wedding dresses for the sisters.  Have you seen the astronomical prices of wedding dresses these days ?   

Once a year usually before the RC there are brothers that go around the large metropolitan areas selling high end suits at a fraction of the costs, I'm sure if you were connected with them they could send you references and a lot of business.

Hi Bobby. I think that's an excellent idea. Sometimes I'm a bit squimish about sewing or repairing Brother's pants and things.  It will be refreshing to have a brother sewing for other brothers. Having custom made suits for the Brothers and men that don't cost a million dollars, would be wonderful.

Oh if Sisters heard that you could sew for them, making lovely dresses for the Memorial and conventions, you would be a rock star and be called Roberto the Designer or Rob's Exclusive Designs Emporium!  LOL!

Also Youtube has a wealth of information on sewing ideas. I made a wonderful bouncy bed for my big puppy from youtube's directions and he loves it.

The thought come to my mind is "Do you know how to sew?"

Not many brothers do.

Second is the first two logos you mention are copyrighted and the owners of the copyrights tend to be a little up tight when it comes to  unathorised  use.

While out in service one day some friends took us to a Vietnamese family RV. There the whole family were sewing customized brightly colored uniforms for local Mexican restaurants. They mentioned that their contracts were very lucrative, 20 or 30 uniforms at a time and that each restaurant chain has their own various themes.

 

I took a sewing class in high school as part of home economics, there were only 2 or 3 males in the entire class, so naturally we had lots of help.  

The class mostly taught us the different patterns, how to thread a bobbin,  how to sew rapidly in a straight line, different types of materials, purchasing and cutting material and advanced sewing techniques etc. It was a great fun class...maybe they have something similar at your local community college, local large fabric store or sewing machine sales center.

 

My wife made her own wedding dress without patterns,  and occasionally makes dresses for our nieces. She loves being a seamstress as a hobby, and my holy Levi's and Wranglers get a 2nd or 3rd life.
