You Know What Get's Me?

Recommended Posts

You know what gets me???   Today I read a story in the Daily Mail (yes, the smut magazine) on how the Archaeologist in Israel dug up a shovel which quoted scriptures from the Bible (or at that time) Scrolls on the shovel.   They have visible, tangible proof that Jehovah, and all the people mentioned in the scriptures are real.  But no, they still deny that the Bible or Scrolls, were made and written by men with their own ideas and experiences.   Have any of you had a similar experience or thought?

All the time, like, almost every day.  All the evidence a reasonable reasoning person would need is right there in front of them but no, they are blinded.

Several Scriptural references come to mind. ..

Yes ... you see understanding does not belong to those who have hardened hearts ... Jehovah could stand in front of them for sake of illustration, and they will reason that it's some sort of electronic trick.  Jehovah is drawing people and he does that by drawing an already opened heart to be able to understand the deep things of Jehovah. I don't get upset that they don't see, I get upset when those in the know openly defy him. That is so hurtful to Jehovah.

When I see nature documentaries on the TV, and they still say its evolution.  Some of these presenters have travelled the world, looking and filming animals and other nature for many years, some of which we can only dream about doing, they have studied and have a vast knowledge of the subjects.  At yet its evolution.  How clever nature is at evolving such creatures.

It is a welcome change to hear ones who believe in creation in the April broadcast.

Yes, the rest of your post was well thought out too, but I just wanted to comment on the above part. It reminds me of an atheist I talked to once. We presented several proofs to him of God's existence, none of which he could answer, yet he still remained adamant. Then he said something that really struck me as either tongue-in-cheek or just downright stupid. "I don't care if God came down out of heaven and stood right in front of me. I'd tell him to his face he doesn't exist!"

What gets me is the inane excuses we hear for not believing something is wrong with the world, and actually believing that somehow humans will fix things.

What if there is no purpose to our lives, no Jehovah, no grand plan?  Do you really think humans, having such a bad track record are going to get it right sometime in the near future before life as we know it disappears?  Because, anyone who really looks at this system and how it is run knows time is running our for our planet.

2 Pet 3:4 “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as they were from creation’s beginning.”

Adding a little more...

When it comes to things like this, the only thing I really ever want to hear anyone's unearthed will be Noah's Ark. And why is that?

If indisputable proof of Noah and the flood came to be discovered, then the whole world would have to sit up and take notice. It could be like a catalyst, but I guess the truth is there would still be people who wouldn't believe.

And that is the point Brother Ray we walk by faith not by sight, the foundation of Jehovah is built in our hearts, and as this mornings days text said we have the seals of that foundation in our heart. If someone is walking by sight, then they will explain away anything that doesn't fit into their agenda.

One is eithr a spiritual or a physical person. There is no room in Jehovah's system for those who are physical in their outlook. They can't do good just to be a good person they have to do good knowing Jehovah hates unrighteouness - to adhere to HIS standards. Most aren't interested in that.
