The Hate Bus

As a reaction to some recent LGBT campaigns about gender identify directed to teens and pre-teens,  a Catholic group named HazteOír is using a bus with the message: "Don't let them fool you. Boys have a penis. Girls have a vagina. Men are men and women are women."

Such outrageous and scandalous message of course has stirred a terrible controversy. There was a special urgent meeting of the ministers yesterday to discuss the issue and then the police were sent, without even having a court order, to stop the bus and prevent it from circulating. The Spanish society looks astonished as the originators of the ad are being accused of a crime of hate against transgender people and sent to prison. Wow! A lot of people disagree with that view but are annoyed that freedom of speech is just a farce and any opinion that disagrees with the tenets of political correctness is aggresively silenced.

In the meantime, the Carnival ended two days ago with the election as Queen of the Carnival of a crucified drag queen, actually a transsexual man mocking Jesus Christ. But of course youcan mock God, Jesus or the Bible, that is covered by freedom of speech.

Difficult times are coming.

Interesting experience: In the middle of all this controversy Wednesday morning a man approached our carts and asked for the Awake! magazine about depression in teenagers. He said his 12 yo son isn't sure about his gender and both the child and his parents are very depressed about it.

I hope that magazine really gives them the comfort they need and puts them in the way to life.
