I know we are far from that side of Australia, but boy, that's going to be another bad cyclone for Queensland.  As big as Yasi 2011! Bigger than Marcia in 2015, which was a category 5 (does it even get higher than that?)  Hoping you in Far North Qld are moving to higher ground and stay safe!  It hits tomorrow and is currently a cat 4. :(

It may be hard to get an update from anyone living in Nth Qld at the moment.  The after effects of the cyclone has meant communication is cut in many areas - electricity down, internet sporadic.  Plus the immense flooding that is now happening means that the friends can't move about to check on each other, even if they have their houses still intact.  Ours is a country of "drought and flooding rains".  And this intense low depression is causing havoc further south in Qld and the north of NSW.

Stay safe friends!

Our food prices are expected to rise exponentially since the area hit grown most of Australia's winter vegetables (bananas hit $13 kilo when Yasi hit in 2011), but this affects vegetables and sugarcane. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-03-29/what-will-happen-to-grocery-prices/8396246

Update on this situation:

"One person is dead and tens of thousands are unable to return to their homes in northern New South Wales and south-east Queensland amid ongoing flooding caused by ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie".

The extreme rainfall (a month's worth in a day) from the left-over of the cyclone has caused bad flooding in the areas south of the cyclone destruction area.  It's a big mess from Nth Qld to Northern NSW.  Also power has been cut off to many residents, as is other telecommunications.  I have no idea how our brothers are fairing.  Go-bag reminders here!!

Well, the water obediently obeyed this sign.

The aftermath of this cyclone has caused as much havoc as the cyclone itself and over a huge area.  Praying for our brothers and hoping we hear something soon.

Don't give up .. it's just around the corner.

Thank you for the information about the cyclone..our brothers and sisters need our prayers and contributions to the worldwide work. According to the report about the flooding in Peru, tons and tons of food and water are being supplied by our organization to the friends there and others. This is supported by our voluntary contributions.

My prayers are for all the individual witnesses to stick close to Jehovah and his organization, and hold tight to Jehovah's hand. Only strong faith will accomplish the needed endurance.

Surely, we all will lose all our possessions sooner or later. Knowing this helps me to be empathetic to all you friends affected by this awful cyclone..My love and prayers and support to all you dear ones! May a good witness be given to our loving God, Jehovah.

Jehovah is "walking upon the wings of the wind" PS. 104:3b
