Really dislike snow and ice

Well, I finally did it. I only had to go down the alley a short ways, walk passed the bank, cross a street to get to the Family $.

 

Never made it passed the ATM machine and feet went in all directions. The ice under the snow was like an ice cube. 

 

With a bad knee now hurting (just a little) I managed to get myself up. Took 2 steps and legs went up in the air and down I went once again. This time REALLY hurting bad knee. 

 

Had to crawl to a snowbank hoping it would help me get up...it did.

 

Family $ wasn’t important anymore. 

 

I limped home. Hoping I wouldn’t wipe out a third time.

 

Managed to get to the deck steps and get into the house.

 

Hoping it doesn’t get so swollen or sore that I can’t get to the garage tonight for my meeting. A brother asked me to read one of the scriptures tonight. Ive been dying to be asked to share in that.

  I sure hope you can drive to the meeting tonight, so you can read that Scripture...and that you will be able to drive tomorrow, so you can take Betty to her doctor's appointment...and pick up your purse.

Thank you. I already had a torn meniscus in this knee (few years ago) and I have a feeling I may have injured it again along with something behind the knee. 

 

I really want to get to the meeting tonight. I’ll just have to wait & see.

Welp, it was painful but I made it to the meeting. (I need Ross’ happy dance icon).

 

i was able to answer in the Spiritual Gems and do my Luke scripture for the Bible Study. 

 

Jehovah does answer prayers.

Hi this is Loopy on Roseanne's phone. She brought me to the ER and they took xrays.Guess they'll give me some meds and then I have to see an orthopedic doctor. 

Amazing how swollen the knee is.

No service for a while. Too painful getting in cars.

The radiologist who looked at the x-rays is concerned that the tip of the tibia bone may be fractured, so they have taken Sister Linda/Loopy to get a catscan.

 

If they don't keep her here, she and her pooch will be having a sleepover at my house.

Catscan was inconclusive, so they are treating it as a tibia plateau fracture.

Total knee immobilization ND crutches.

Sounds like letter writing and telephone territory for a while.  Could be a good thing.

Hi friends! 

 

Well, I’ll never get used to those crutches. My arm pits HURT. 

So much for not walking/putting weight on it.

 

Had a great time at Sis. Ross’ home. Great food and videos. But especially spending time with her, which we haven’t done for far too long.

 

I’m just not used to being waited on. Very hard to accept. Ross was great. I especially have a hard time because she has her own health issues and deals with that every day. 

 

Not lookng forward to finding out what they tell me they have to do...if anything.

 

Time will tell.

Well, saw the Orthopedic doctor today. There is a slight break. So I got a different brace. One that I can bend the knee when I walk...but for a month I have to use crutches for support. 

 

I see the Ortho doc in April. 

 

Ha! He mentioned that in time I would start P T. I said yeah, no one’s wrenching my knee now.

So sorry you are going through this. As a veteran of the knee wars I can definitely sympathize with you. .

Well, I’m not looking forward to physical therapy.

Well, had my Ortho checkup today. 

 

Took xrays to check knee fracture out. Healing very well. 

 

Turns out, I’ve had no pain from the right side of the knee where the fracture is located. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

 

The left side where the arthritis is, is where all the weakness and the cause for my leg to collapse in the snow. 😳😳

 

Weird, very weird. 

 

Next step: 4 weeks of physical therapy. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
