Ideas for Creating Escape Rooms

Recommended Posts

This thread is for discussing ideas for creating Escape Rooms at home or for private uses like a gathering - not for creating them as a commercial enterprise

It might be fun to create a 70"s sitcom based escape room (Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, Mary Tyler Moore show etc) and if they can't get out within the hour - they get "cancelled!"

Would love to figure out a Bible based type escape room too but haven't come up with anything solid yet (perhaps finding a way into Noah's ark before the door closes).

Don't live for the moment - live for the future! :D

Let's use this thread for proposing ideas. We can then create a thread for individual ideas.

Those are good ideas. I will create a thread for discussing each of these ideas.

I have an idea about a plot. You are a team of time travelers with a mission: To go back in time to Jerusalem in 70 CE and locate the original scroll of Matthew (or whatever) in a house that belonged to a Christian family. When they fled the city four years before they carefully hid the parchment and left some clues so that it couldn't be found by anybody except a genuine Christian.

The Romans have already breached the wall and are entering in the city, killing everybody and setting fire to all buildings. You only have 60 minutes to find the scroll before the Romans break into that house.

What do you think of this story?

It sounds like an interesting idea

Should we stick to it being the Gospel account of Matt or maybe a letter from Paul?

It could be the letter of Paul to the Laodiceans. We know it existed (Col 4:16) but it hasn't been preserved to our days. This is our only chance to obtain a copy. :)
