Yearbook audio files on JWL

I just discovered that some of the older yearbooks have audio files but I can't figure out how to play them.

 

The 2012 Yearbook has 39 files in the Download Media for the book but there isn't a Play button. Yet...

I have been able to download the audio files for the 2010 Yearbook but the 2009 and earlier yearbooks do not have any media yet.

At the moment they are playable only on JW.org.

Some brothers have been reporting this problem. This also seems to be a problem with other publications as well, not just the yearbooks.

I can play the yearbooks back to 2013 so far.

I think the older yearbook audio is a work in progress. I'll check again tomorrow.

the audio recordings of the 2010, 2011, and 2012 yearbooks predate the release of JW Library (see: JW Library version history) and need to be fixed or altered before JW Library will be able to play them inside the downloaded text-based publication.

 

But this doesn't mean you can't read and simultaneously stream the audio of those yearbooks; you can on WOL.  So long as you're connected to the internet, you can just open your web browser to wol.jw.org and click to publications > books > yearbooks. Choose which page to read and then you'll see this little icon:
 

Now you can play that page while reading the full text! note that there are no pictures for yearbooks prior to 2013, unless you download the PDF from jw.org. This applies to WOL and JWL equally.
