Oklahoma Jehovah's Witnesses have joined Jehovah's Witnesses around the world in a special global campaign throughout the month of November.

As part of the faith initiative, Jehovah’s Witnesses are distributing a special issue of the Watchtower magazine entitled "What Is God’s Kingdom?"

Robert J. Hendriks, the faith group's U.S. media director, and Oklahoma spokesman Paris Sanders, said Jehovah’s Witnesses are sending the magazine to the general public and business owners as well as local and national government officials and court officials.

Sanders said he and other Jehovah's Witnesses will mostly be mailing the magazines or sending them electronically via email. An electronic copy of the magazine is available in more than 300 languages on the faith group's official website at jw.org.

The men said they would have loved to go door-to-door to distribute the magazine and talk to people face-to-face but COVID-19 guidelines against such in-person visits ruled out this traditional action.

"We would have loved to knock on somebody's door, that would have been the way we deliver it, but because of the pandemic, we have suspended that part of our public ministry," Hendriks said.

Hendriks said the campaign is straight forward, focusing on the question "What is God's kingdom?"

"The most powerful thing is to give people hope. Many people today lack hope," he said.

Hendriks and Sanders said they are confident that the Bible’s promises about God’s kingdom will bring readers of the special Watchtower magazine comfort and hope for a world free of pain and suffering.

Hendriks cited Scripture in the Book of Luke as the basis for the new campaign.

"In Luke 4:43, Jesus said 'I must also declare the Good News of the kingdom to other cities,'" Hendriks said.

I was actually able to read it. I only couldn’t read a second article I clicked on. I guess time ran out. It was a good article. It had quotes from brother Robert Hendriks, the organization spokesperson saying that he and another brother were confident that the magazine would bring hope to many.

*edit* was in the process of writing this when brother Richard posted the quote from the article.

The Hebrew word cushi or kushi is an affectionate term generally used in the Bible to refer to a dark-skinned person of African descent.
