Advertising announcements in supermarkets

Maybe we all know those advertising announcements in big super markets and malls where offers are touted through loud speakers.

 

Yesterday I was in such a super market in my country Germany and for the first time between those offers the voice drew attention on a web site against domestic violence and how to get help there. 
 And of course the voice warned the customers to wear the masks - otherwise you‘d have to leave the store. You also got instructions (e.g. every person needed a shopping cart and so on).

It felt like in a Science Fiction Movie where the protagonists live in a dystopic world like Mad Max...

Yes, things are getting stranger by the minute..... But in this climate, you can see how mental illness and things like domestic violence are on the increase. We are certainly heading for the time soon when people will be “faint out of fear” Luke 21:25, 26.

I wanted to write for the first time I heared the voice saying..

I also felt like that the first time I heard a voice in the store saying that all should keep the distance and so on. 
It really feelt like a science-fiction movie as you said. Unreal. 
 

You can really see that people are getting more and more grumpy and angry. 
Its unusual to see people smile nowadays.

I remembered something similar at the begining of lockdown and how to care for your fellow shoppers and show care.I thought how crazy it is that people have to be reminded to show consideration,something unusual in this country

At the beginning of lockdown, when people went nuts hoarding everything in the stores, it was kind of funny to hear the recording in the supermarket saying "Please don't overbuy, supplies are guaranteed, there is enough food for everyone" at the same time that shelves were depleted or empty. It did feel like one of those dystopic movies where the authorities tell you something which is obviously false but you cannot challenge it.
