Peace and Security, Great Tribulation, Armageddon

Recommended Posts

This video does a good job of showing how the conflict in the Middle East is all about religion even though some of it seems political.  Even other parts of the world seem to be spiraling out of control.  The world has taken notice and it seems like this won't be tolerated for much longer.

Recently, in an online news report, someone commented something like 'once we end all religions, the world can finally talk about/have peace'

We usually read comments about how people will riot and fight when BTG is destroyed.

But Revelation only mentions "the kings of the earth", "the merchants" and "every ship captain and every seafaring person and sailors" as lamenting her fall.

No mention at all of the common people.

Maybe they will not be so upset after all.

Know this my beloved brothers, I am not a native English speaker.

Please be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. (James 1:19)

I agree with this, during the Fall of BtG people even religious leaders will be denying that they are part of that religion. So meaning the BtG  don't have that kind of influence to make people defend BtG.

People now protesting not because of they defend theirreligion but to the rights of the people living their. But the cause of the conflict is obviously by religion.

Iran carried out strikes inside Pakistan’s territory … the whole “religion thing” is just escalating.

This is historical, but one of the greatest supporters and enablers of the IRA was an Irish Catholic priest, Patrick Ryan. He helped broker a deal with Gaddafi that funded the IRA in the the late 60s, and helped with bomb making by providing precision Swiss made timers, because “some of the bombs were detonating prematurely”. So does he have any remorse at the carnage he helped inflict during that time?

“Now in his 90s and living an unremarkable life in Ireland, Ryan has expressed no remorse for his involvement in the conflict.

"I regret that I wasn't even more effective … I would have liked to have been much more effective, but we didn't do too badly," he told the BBC in 2019.“

And then Iran does this:

“Iran says strikes targeted militant group in Pakistan 🙄

Iran says it has hit a militant group in western Pakistan in a missile attack, its third air strike on another country this week after earlier attacks on targets in Iraq and Syria.

Tuesday's strike in Pakistan hit a village in the vast south-western border province of Balochistan. Tehran said it was targeting Jaish al-Adl, or "army of justice", an ethnic Baloch Sunni Muslim group that has carried out attacks inside Iran as well as on Pakistani government forces.

Late on Monday Iran launched fired ballistic missiles against targets in Iraq's northern city of Irbil, prompting condemnation by the US.

Iran then hit targets in Syria's north-western Idlib province, which is the last remaining opposition stronghold in the country, outside of Syrian government control, and is home to 2.9 million displaced people, many of whom are living in dire conditions in camps.“

The Muslim world is really in a mess.

It's January 17th 2024, and many things are already happening, the world is literally without peace and people want peace, an opportunity for the Devil to deceive people by saying peace and security.

I don't understand what you are saying, why would anyone believe there is peace and security when there obviously isn't any peace and security?

Last week at the Watchtower study, the simile of Jehovah outmaneuvering Satan in a hot minute (Gen. 3:15) was discussed.  Although the lesson never used the words chess or checkmate,  we could see it that way.

The article said "Jehovah resolved the rebellion of Satan and the first humans in a way that must have dumbfounded Satan.  And;  Satan must have been stunned by Jehovah's ransom arrangement!"

So, we can see where it might be compared to a very fast checkmate.

Bringing me to this question:   We know that Armageddon will be at Jehovah's appointed time.  That time will not change.

And, the saying of "Peace & Security" is lying propaganda by Satan, and will be the next domino to fall.

So then, will the duration of the GT be decided by Satan, because he starts it but the ending is fixed?    Or will Satan be compelled to cause the P&S at Jehovah's timing?

Not to forget Mt. 24:22  "on account of the chosen ones, those days will be cut short."

I'm thinking this.  Because later, Ezekiel 38:4, 16 says in the final assault Gog is being manoeuvred into this position.  The Pure Worship book says "As if putting hooks in Gog’s jaws and leading him along, Jehovah will guide matters so that events will unfold according to His will and timetable."

We know Jehovah has a timetable, and has shown he manoeuvres situations in the past.

Looking at all the articles linked to 1 Thes 5:3, they say something similar to this: "The foretold tribulation will begin when the nations think that they are close to solving some of their big problems. The sudden destruction of “Babylon the Great,” the world empire of false religion, will catch the world by surprise. Kings and others will be amazed when judgment is executed upon Babylon the Great.—Rev. 17:1-6, 18; 18:9, 10, 15, 16, 19."

The nations are under Satan's control atm.  So, it's like they are all (Satan and his world) compelled to their inevitable doom.  The irony is that it's when THEY think they've got peace and security, that bang! it all blows up in their face.

Like has been said, wisely, we just don't know.  We just have to stay awake, be aware and be busy.

Technically Satan does not start GT, Jehovah does by putting a thought to remove the false religion .. Satan is dragged into it.

When I read this I thought we'd need significant problems that would trigger the whole world to come to the same conclusion. And we do, world wide now. All the prophesies are coming true, as mentioned by many on this forum, all at the same time causing the worst upheaval in human history. Now we just need the UN to get some teeth, enforce its will and 'cause' a sense of peace to happen, or something that could make the population believe peace could be on the horizon.

Then with that peace comes another upset- the surprising fall of religion, total upset and causes more insecurity where a third of the people will die- according to a recent......umm was it a Broadcast that detailed the 3 times where a third will die? Help me out here.

Just my 2 cents worth. Good point Lucy.

I think you might be confused. It will be a third of satan’s system destroyed. The religious part destroyed first. The second third would be financial and the last third is government.
Although I could have missed it but I don’t remember them saying a third of the people will die.

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”
