Well...one day agreement, or cry of Peace and Security will fulfill Bible prophecy ... so not exactly toilet paper. 

Jehovah was serious when deciding on including that information in the Bible.

So in view of fulfilling prophecy, PS is important step.

I think what dustparticle means is that the P&S that gets proclaimed isn’t going to actually bring true P&S as the slave indicates but will be as worthless as used TP.

A book I am currently reading: https://archive.org/details/paris1919sixmont00macm/page/143/mode/1up?view=theater has a chapter in the middle describing the atmosphere of the 1919 Paris Peace Conference and the beginning of the Anglo-American union. Remember that France helped the US against Britain in their War of Independence and even provided the Statue of Liberty afterwards as a gift. That relationship switched after the war with Lloyd George and Woodrow Wilson forming bounds that hi-lite the truthfulness of bible prophecy.

Page 143 is the chapter start and after the war there was a lot of infighting amongst the winners as they grabbed at the losses of Germany and Austria-Hungary. Good read and reveals the world lost all decency after the Great War which led to the second world war.

Any announcement of Peace and Security will always be a facade, hiding something more sinister.

Thats insane. No natural agreement. 

There will be a good reason why Jehovah will bring destruction after they cry peace and security.. As you said, its going to be sinister.. Remember world powers have thousands of MAD nuclear weapons.

That's a good approach regardless whether the alarm is true or false. 

 

We should be busy in the ministry until we receive direction to stop. We don't need, nor are we encouraged to watch the news in an attempt to guess when that direction to stop might happen. 

 

Yes, if we watch the pot we are going to lose patience and our joy.  Athletes don't play the game watching the clock - they are too busy playing their hardest.  Likewise when we go to a game, movie, or a concert, we don't spend the time watching the clock because we are too busy enjoying the program. 

 

That's how we should be with our ministry. We should focus on preaching, teaching and disciple making and not focus on when the clock might run out.

Thats true .. Thank you.. its exhausting for me to watch the news and  guess what's gonna happen next.

This made me think about the sisters' call today, I just return from FS,  we met a HH who was pleasant, but wanted us to know that she had her own religion - all went well quite well though, we were getting ready to leave, I ask how what are her thoughts about how the world is today, she got very solemn looking, and tears were forming her eyes, she said "I just cannot stand it, people are so cruel, and hateful, it hurts to see how people are today, and I did offer to read a scripture  - I ask her what do you think people need the most today, and she said "peace." I ask if I may read a scripture - 

(Jeremiah 29:11) “‘For I well know the thoughts that I am thinking toward you,’ declares Jehovah, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a future and a hope -she smiled, and we were able to speak to her for about .30 minutes.

 

It was my dear sister's door, and she is quite lively, and I could tell the HH appreciated it, because she appears so relax, and it was relaxing to her to perhaps see - yep the are just regular people - and even though she express that she was good in regard to religion, we were still able to have a wonderful conversation with her, and left on a good note, and the sister will return eventually to see how she is faring!
