NEWS ALERT | The Good News According to Jesus Begins Filming

Recommended Posts

Not sure if it's been mentioned earlier, but Ep 9 is underway now, or so I was told when I visited Bethel a couple of weeks ago. My first visit there, and was very impressed with the film set - well actually the whole Bethel branch for that matter 😊

I look forward to seeing who they pick to portray Jesus after his resurrection, when he appears in different forms. I hope they manage to capture his essence or mannerisms.

Also, since the Acts of Apostles series is going to be filmed at Ramapo, and there isn't a lot of cross-over with the Gospels, as far as characters, I hope they re-use the actor who plays Peter and keep that continuity.

The australian brothers would need to move to Ramapo.

1) There aren't many characters that have active roles in both.

Spoiler

Core Figures

  • Jesus Christ
Acts records his post-resurrection appearances and ascension in Acts 1.
  • Peter
Leading disciple in the Gospels; central leader and speaker in Acts.
  • John
Disciple in the Gospels; actively present with Peter in Acts 3–4.
  • James
Apostle in the Gospels; executed in Acts 12.

2) Aside from James in Acts 12, they all appear or are mentioned very early in Acts. They could easily get on a plane and spend a short time at Ramapo getting those scenes filmed.

I hope they do, but I understand if they don't.

We have plan to visit Australasia Brancj in 2029 - i hope we'll manage to both save money and still see the sets :)

I imagine the sets would still be there. Episode 10 should be finished around June 2026. They are shooting 2-3 episodes a year.  In 2029,  the account will be the set in the final weeks of Jesus' ministry. Come early in the calendar year. Summer time is better for the weather.

I imagine there might be a big party at the end of production. Who knows? 🤷‍♂️

Will they start filming acts of the apostles at the same time or right after this series?
