Established in 1947, the clock was initially moved forward, or back, by whole minute increments until 2017, when it was moved 30 seconds forward:

Using the symbolic Doomsday Clock to illustrate mankind’s proximity to a global disaster, scientists moved the clock’s minute hand forward by 30 seconds. The Doomsday Clock is now set at merely two and a half minutes to midnight—nearer to a global catastrophe than at any time in over 60 years!

Most recently the clock was moved forward by 10 seconds - the smallest movement the clock has ever made - and now stands at "90 seconds to midnight". Why do the hands move, and how do they calculate it?

In my opinion, from what happened in the last 5 years, the hand should have moved a lot more than 11 seconds (from 100 seconds to 89 seconds)
But hey I'm just a nobody 🤷‍♂️ compared to these accredited scientists 😂

I do know Jehovah is fully in control, so they can say what they want 🤓

I always found it strange that they didn't make monthly changes when the Russia/Ukraine war started, but kept it annual. A lot could happen in a year, like Gaza did.
