I think we've have received instructions on this point some years ago, haven't we?

Define "we" :)

I understand there is 2018 direction - AKA The Letter - only available via the Hospital Liaison Committee on a 'need to know' basis?

Which I believe was also confirmed by Forum Team Member @Lance here in January 2020

I was expecting some other discussions based on the title of this topic... :whistling:

Perhaps it would be beneficial to connect the title to the body of the topic better?

We cannot change Jehovah's instruction on blood,

But we can also not change the requirement of medical ethics on blood when it comes to patient care.it is too deeply entrenched in the practice of modern day medicine.

I personally will not even request for a GxM,talk more of administer blood transfusion to a patient.

There will be consequences because the ethics of practice mandates Doctor and Nurses to do all it takes to save a patients life literally putting aside personal beliefs.

But we know that Jehovah's law supersedes medical ethics.

As Jw's in medical practice we must realise that we cannot change the way the unbelievers do their things in this issues ,we can only look for options that will not make us to violate Jehovah's instruction on blood as practioners.
