It is forum decorum that, when we post a link or video, we state why we posted it and what we want to talk about ... not just post the link/video

This is still debated, it could be an hycean planet or a lava/magma planet. Scientists will have to wait for some decades to have a better view.

Also, there are abiotic sources of these molecules, so it is even less conclusive.

The short answer is "No" 

 

While it may seem like the title should be enough, the forum decorum/policy is not to post "just" a link/video without explaining why we posted it. The OP should explain what aspect they wanted to discuss or say why they posted it.

 

With this video, for instance, was the OP trying to say this may be a world we use in the NS or were they trying to say they didn't think it even makes sense. Since there was no additional information given other than just the video, we don't know where the OP stands on the subject or even what part of the video they found interesting and/or objectionable.

 

That is why the staff have asked we post some sort of comment, description and/or commentary/question as to why a particular link, headline, video is posted.

The OP did not ask anything. He only posted a link to a video. I didn't find it self explanatory, but after seeing it I was wondering why it was posted. As John explained, the forum guidelines imply that some explanation is necessary in an OP; we need to know why the post is there, and what the poster's question is.

I understand if it's tradition to state why a video is posted, but I think common sense should override tradition. I think it's pretty clear why Friend of Peace posted it
