I hope this wasn't caused by a lack of proper maintenance, but I don't know what else would cause a fire inside the roof area. At least no one was hurt and the damage is relatively minor.

the fire was not inside the roof but rather was from a molotov cocktail being thrown onto the roof.

With our focus on maintenance I really doubt it was that. If gen public cared half as we about maintenance there wouldn’t be hardly building fires 😉

I went on my search engine and couldn’t find the cause.  🤷‍♀️ Looks like it’s still under investigation?

I saw this on IG last night; it was a clip from a local newscast. I'm glad nobody was hurt.

FOX12 Oregon, and hoodline, both report firefighters were able to keep the blaze largely confined to a small portion of the roof.

 

The images I've seen on Facebook show a building fully involved.  Those images also show a sign reading Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses.  No "of".  And, no JW.org badge.  

The fire is apparently a fact, but images out there are fake.
