People are desperate. Who wants to up and leave their home unless they feel they must. It's very sad indeed. Much of the news around the world is simply heartbreaking indeed. All the more proof of Bible prophecy and why we need the Kingdom to come. No doubt the friends there will take note and perhaps find a way to help some learn about Jehovah and his promise for mankind. What a mess Satan's world is. Let's not despair but do our best to show our reliance on our God and Father and see how he will turn things around. 💙 🙏💪

We are not partial to “the west” — we know Jehovah permits lands to sometimes be captured, or attempted to be captured (look at Ukraine right now), but we must stay separate and no part of the society we happen to live among.

Even if our heads of state were literally captured by a foreign enemy, we still have to put up no fight, we must respect whoever the new Caesar is.

W study edition 6/2012 Questions from Readers footnote:

"The clay that is mixed with iron represents elements within the realm of the ironlike Anglo-American World Power. Over time, this clay has made it difficult for that power to be as strong as it would like to be."

W study edition 6/2012 Jehovah Reveals What “Must Shortly Take Place” par. 9:

"Jehovah’s servants have long sought to understand the symbolic meaning of the feet of the image. Daniel 2:41 describes the mixture of iron and clay as one “kingdom,” not many. The clay, therefore, represents elements within the sphere of influence of the Anglo-American World Power, elements that make it weaker than the solid iron of the Roman Empire. The clay is referred to as “the offspring of mankind,” or the common people. (Dan. 2:43) In the Anglo-American World Power, people have risen up to claim their rights through civil rights campaigns, labor unions, and independence movements. The common people undermine the ability of the Anglo-American World Power to act with ironlike strength. Also, opposing ideologies and close election results that do not end up in a clear majority have weakened the power base of even popular leaders, so that they have no clear mandate to implement their policies. Daniel foretold: “The kingdom will partly prove to be strong and will partly prove to be fragile.”—Dan. 2:42; 2 Tim. 3:1-3."

W study edition 8/2023 Learn From Bible Prophecy par. 12:

"In the dream that Daniel interpreted for King Nebuchadnezzar, the feet of the image that the king saw were made of “iron mixed with soft clay.” By comparing this prophecy with others in the books of Daniel  and Revelation, we can conclude that the feet represent the Anglo-American alliance, the dominant world power today. Regarding this world power, Daniel says that “the kingdom will be partly strong and partly fragile.” Why partly fragile? Because the common people, pictured by the soft clay, undermine its ability to act with ironlike strength. "

"The feet of the image are made “partly of iron and partly of clay,” a combination that is inherently weak. (Daniel 2:42) Today, the power of both the United States and Britain is weakened by elements within their own societies. For example, both countries experience internal conflicts among their own citizens. People violently protest for their rights. Their elected representatives often fail to reach a majority agreement. Because their people are so divided, both governments are at times unable to implement their policies effectively."

According to our current understanding this refers just to inner state of affairs inside Anglo-American power.

I know but that's the same spirit.

Correct. The prophecy is describing the Anglo-American World Power, but that doesn't mean other nations won't also deal with the same situations.

Of course, we would not apply this scripture scripture in such a way at the meetings or in the ministry.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.
