I have got thousands of ties. These are all stocked in various shops (since I do not have sufficient space at my home) . So whenever I need for one, I go to one of the shops and get one which I like, and wear it.

  :D excellent!..

I'm a bit envious Rajan. Do you own a tie shop? Or a chain of tie shops? I'd love to have thousands of ties to choose from... I'm often getting told off by my daughter for wearing a striped tie with a striped shirt --- too many stripes she says.

Not that I disagree. It's just that matching the colours seemed more important than worrying about the patterns. I need to broaden my range of options but a good quality tie seems so expensive these days ($40-60 for a good one) and I'm sick of buying cheap rubbishy ones that fall apart or lose their shape after wearing them only a few times. So I've only got a few good ones.

As for tie pins, I don't wear them. I prefer to go 'au naturelle'.

Wow, Lynn... Thanks for the Tutvid* my bro (*tutorial video)

I can't wait to try one of those. Very helpful.

Can you imagine the look on your COBE face when you tell him the name of the knot you are wearing is called Trinity? I tried this one last night and it is not all that easy to get to look like the video. On the web site is Tut pictures you can print out.

I wouldn't have any trouble choosing one if I owned a whole shop full of them like Rajan. Hehe.

I have no problem in choosing a tie.  Just I go to the tie shop,  since there are hunderds of them, I  close my eyes and pick one and I wear it.   That way it is easy.   Of couse, the person sitting at the shop counter would not allow me to leave since  he always  like to receive cash from me . He says  it makes his day when I give him cash....... I also like to give him cash since I hate the cops.

Thanks for clearing up the tie-shop-ownership question. When it comes to ties, choosing one to wear is easy. It's the handing over of the cash :blushing: that's the hard part! :pistols:

My husband never wears tie TACS. He wears tie CLIPS or bars. The ones that clip the tie to the shirt between two of the buttons. He says it's because he doesn't like making holes in his shirts and ties, but I know the real reason. Because it's easier and takes less time. He prefers slip on shoes instead of those with laces, too. :whistling:

A sister who makes jewelry gave me and my husband some of her handiwork for our anniversary. For him, it was a tie clip and a tie tack. He had never worn anything like that before and I wasn't sure he would, but he has really taken to them and they look great!

How to Tie a Necktie Eldredge Knot

I had an interisting day at the DC. The assistant CO was wearing the Eldrege Knot and he had the introduction part for today's (Sunday) Drama. The same sister in our congregation that gives me a bad time over the knots told him he can't wear that on stage!!!!! He didn't but we had a laugh over it anyway. I had a half dozen converts to the knots by the end of the convention without saying a word. Wore a different knot every day. The old timers would stare me down as if I was wearing a beard or something.
