Just got this email from a friend:

Hello,

We just came back from special lunch and report from Leon Weaver from the US Branch Committee.  Here at Bethel, we hear reports from all over the world....today was a report from the US!    His remarks were on 4 aspects of the work here....1)  closing of the Puerto Rico Branch, 2)  US Remote Translation Offices, 3)  Reopening of the 124 Columbia Heights Bldg in Brooklyn, and 4)Warwick.

Puerto Rico branch is closing....41 from there will transfer to Spain (Translation) the end of May, one has been assigned to Cuba Branch, and several are coming here to US.  Six couples from there will be attending the School for Christian Couples....permission has been given to hold one more class there.  Brother Weaver expressed appreciation for the good attitude displayed in this move.  He showed pictures of one brother, age 90 who was at the Branch for 56 years.  He and his fleshly sister have been transferred to Wallkill, and will reside in the Infirmary.  Pictures of them at the airport were sweet....all smiles.

There are now TWO Remote Translation offices in the US Branch territory.  The one in Sacramento is staffed by 4 Bethelites, and 7 commuters....all involved in translating Hmong language.  The new office was recently dedicated.  The other remote office is in Chinle, Arizona.  It is a room at a Kingdom Hall there and five people work there in translating Navajo.  And on April 1, 2013, the first Navajo congregation was formed!!!  Big applause at this announcement.

The reopening of the 124 Columbia Heights building in Brooklyn will facilitate the move of the MEPS and Translation Services departments from Patterson.  This will take place in June/July of this year.  The building will accommodate 203 Belthelites, and 150 temporary workers who will be working at Warwick/Tuxedo.

Warwick/Tuxedo.  On 12/12/12 announcement was made of the Construction Project Committee taking the lead and working under the Publishing Committee of the Governing  Body.  They have been told to finish construction "as soon as possible."  Pictures were shown of the 3 busses being used to transport workers from Brooklyn....departing there at 5:30 am to arrive for Morning Worship, and coming home late. Some site works has been done, as well as removing hundreds of trees from the property.  They are working on a dining room there which will seat 500.  There are presently 54 Bethelites living in the immediate area either in homes, or apartments.

And what was the menu today?

Chicken with caper butter sauce, rice pilaf, garlic broccoli, spinach salad with dried cranberries, raspberry vinaigrette dressing, tiramisu, coffee and creamers.

Announcement was also made only at Wallkill that the 135th class of Gilead was touring Wallkill and dining with us.  They will be introduced to the Bethel family Monday.

Back to work now....just wanted to share this report with you.

Love to you all!

Beautiful report thanks Musky.

I am a little envious. Our Bethel has been having renovations done.

Including the Kitchen. No lunches for guess.

"It's a known fact that eighty decibels of rushing water is one of the most pleasing sounds known to mankind. On other hand, ten and a half days at sea is enough water for anybody."
