Upgrade at 12 NOON Eastern Time - Save Your Work   05/22/2017

Hello everyone,   We will be upgrading JWTalk Forums at 12 PM, which is in approximately 40 minutes.   This is a MAJOR server overhaul, and we will be down for some time.   During this time, accessing topics or submitting posts may not work. Please save your work until the upgrade is complete. This message will disappear and the bottom of the page will read "JWTalk 17.5.22 by Robert Angle" when complete. I will also update my status.   Your brother,   - Bob

  2. I got the last of the stamps at our rural post office... There were 16 left. Took what I needed and passed the rest on. The two little towns over are also out and the large post offices in Columbus GA were out when one of our elders was trying to get stamps. I pre-addressed 300 envelopes for our congregation to use when they gathered to write tonight. All but 24 were used and they are being passed to some that didn't make it to the gathering. I had a nice chat with the young lady at the post office. She asked if I was a stamp collector. I told her about the campaign and she was amazed. I may stop in this weekend to see if she is working and take her an invitation. I wish I had thought to have one with me when I went. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

  10. In a congregation we were in in Florida a family hosted a bon fire and "chili party" each fall when the weather cooled off. They had an outside propane burner and a huge cast iron pot... Everyone brought a pot of chili and dumped it in the larger cooker pot. Since kids were there super spicy was not allowed. It was so much fun. You'd go back for more chili and since others had arrived and added theirs it would taste all together different. We are planning to have one here with our new congregation in the fall. 12. Hoping for some opinions and what to look for. We currently have Android tablets that were super affordable but aren't all that speedy. We are finding trying to use them at meeting a bit frustrating. By the time the JW app gets to a scripture they've moved onto the next thing. So... We will be purchasing new tablets in the next few months. Do we go with Windows? Android? Apple? What do we look for so it's speedy? (Saw some at Amazon that can boot as Android or Windows). Thanks for help and any opinions of the devices you use. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
