FB is a great community for finding lost pets. I works really great here. People come together, meet up and go out looking. People from work keep their eyes out as they go about their day. The momma of Max is Lisa, she posted on FB at 5:30, I couldn't see it cause I don't know how to do it on my phone.

But a site for lost pets is a good thing to do Taylor. The are thinking of it here too. Escaping from the backyard is common. We just don't want them ending up hit on the road.

She must be the labrador, then. They are very intelligent. :)

African Safari in Melbourne (I was 3 meters away in the car)

Is that at Wereebi Zoo Greg?

Awesome place

I disagree, I was raised with a male lab, he was very obedient. We didn't 'train' him per se because he was a farm dog after all. He did love dad's homemade beer though as did the cow! Dog was a good boy though, he was always with us kids when we played outside.

And I have 3 dogettes, ankle biters they aren't. But also not trained to do anything either. Nothing but be loved and show love for my pleasure. And yes they do, especially my little girl dog, want to be big dogs. Funny because the big dogs want to be lap dogs!

This is Max. I found him running on the road, cars with emergency flashers going and cars all stopped. I called out to him, he must have a female owner because he responded to my voice and my invite to 'go for a ride'. He very gently crawled in the back seat of my truck and happily rode around with me as I did my jobs. He got BACON flavored organic doggie biscuits and I cuddled him at every stop. I reluctantly gave him to the vet at 9am to give back to him family. He's a Labradoodle. I really WANT one of those! He is precious.

Great job!  My wife and I always have a "too" soft spot in our hearts for strays or lost animals.

A few weeks ago I was driving at 60 mph to work and a dog ran out from some bushes in front of my car.  I swerved to avoid hitting him, my car spun out of control, and I ended up in the opposite lane. Thankfully it was about 5:30am, and not many cars out!  He wasn't hit, thankfully, and ran back the way he had come.  He climbed up the hill and looked down on me, wagging his tail.

But my first instinct is to avoid hitting or killing anything.  Sometimes, though, I think it will end up being the (hopefully temporary) end of me!

Pretty much the way it was, Cheryl...

I should have stopped sooner, when I was in the forest proper and the moon and star were framed by the stands of trees on each side.

The sliver of moon showing as the sunset is disappearing, it really grabbed me too.

That is simply amazing. I love the contrast of the tree branches against the sky and the wispy clouds.....yep. That is a really beautiful shot.

I'm into scenery and nature as opposed to people. I have to resist the impulse to take pictures all the time. It's all about the way the light is projected that can make a scene amazing. I see so much beauty. Jah is great!

And the wisteria at my place is just about to lose all its leaves...

Oh, really?

I went to the assembly hall yesterday to attend the special meeting and found the wisteria blooming.

The weather was beautiful and the talk was wanderful.

It was a special day.
