A local Cong just had their CO visit and they had 19 sisters on the AV/Mics and he directed the elders to take them all off 😳 not sure how they’re coping since.

Oof...that's one thing I'm afraid of when we get our next CO.  This one told us to use them, and it's been soooooo nice to have their help!

From October 2, 2019 when my wife Debbie was in the hospital recovering from her stroke. You are looking at sunrise with Mount Hood from where the aerial tram at OHSU medical facility.

I took an early morning walk in a nearby park that has several small and large ponds and came across the turtle shown in the photo. It had been basking in the sun. I have always found them to be fascinating. This one sports a bright orange color on the underside edge of its shell, as well as on its face and legs. A beautiful creature designed by the Great Artist, Jehovah.

Being married to a spiritual woman who can knit is a blessing.  Yes, she is wearing an apron. Our great granddaughter, Jade has her own apron too.

And she has long hair!!! 🧡🧡

I've been growing mine out since late 2018. It's now just below my waist. I'm going to trim off about 2 inches soon but don't want to cut it till it reaches my knees.

🤭 I just had a thought, does she ever knit her hair into one of those granny squares? 😆 Does she have to tie it up when she cooks so it doesn't catch on fire? How about inhaling a hair still connected and gagging as you pull it out of your throat 😄

Real worries for long hair.

She has not knitted any of her hair, but it does get in the squares. She wears an apron when cooking, puts hair sticks in, and tucks behind her. She has pulled hair out of her mouth. Almost got it caught in the car door. Her hair is about a foot past her waist. She reminds me of Cousin It! This is her mother at age 80 about 6 years ago.

Be careful if you plan on visiting Alabama and are thinking about wearing a fake mustache to church. It's illegal. Ha Ha.

Wow, amazing! She has lovely thick hair.

I've noticed since about 2017 quite a few women have decided to grow their hair out. I decided to in 2018. I've never had long hair before so it's an adjustment. Thankfully it grows only 1/2 to 3/4 inch a month so I can learn live with it. What really irritates is rolling it up in the seat belt! 😄

One sister I have known since I was 12 years old had very long hair. She usually wore it down to her mid-calf or slightly longer. I saw her at the Circuit Assembly after she was married, and her hair was cut off at her neck and shaped instead of just hanging straight. She told me that, after having children, it was too much work to keep her hair long and take care of her kids.

That has been over 40 years ago, and she still wears it short.

Her mom is half native American, as her mom's mother was from The Chimariko tribe, a now extinct tribe. In 2010 only 60 claimed to be of that tribe, with 19 full blooded. She has cut her hair off several times for locks of love.

Awwwww, that's so kind of her.

I've never heard of that tribe, I looked them up. The natives in my area are the Chinook tribe. They aren't extinct as such but are not federally recognized. We have a community here called Chinook and the old school for native children still stands.

That's how I should have worded it. I am familiar with the Chinook tribe. Growing up in Olympia we learned about the different Indian Tribes.

It had been calculated that if you stack all the humans into a box that is 1km long, 1km wide and 1km high, 7.6billion would fit inside this box.

But some have clculated that only 7.3million would fit inside, so it just depends on what basis you are using as a human.

It is a bit staggering to think that the entire population of the earth could fit on the island of Manhattan - if they stood close enough to each other.

I'm sorry, it's late, but when I first glanced at this photo I thought it was some takeoff on  the 2001: Space Odyssey monolith.  Time to check out LOL 😂

I visited the store and bought myself a left handed screwdriver.

Handy to have. I once asked a brother to find me a metric adjustable wrench. He was gone for awhile...😳
