The LIBERTY KING at anchor in the Columbia River. The anchor and chain for these ships can weigh from 20,000 to 30,000 pounds. If you have never seen one dropped here is a video of a an aircraft carrier dropping it's anchor.

Check out my Epiphyllum……The most spectacular thing about Epiphyllum plants, besides their impressively large sculptural wing span, is the profusion of exotic, fragrant, ephemeral blooms they put out in the middle of the night. These plants will perform their spectacular flowering show from midnight to dawn, leaving behind only dead buds as the sun rises. IMG_9641.thumb.jpeg.3f0fbc8b8c346ea7a94eb354f0a2a6e7.jpegIMG_9640.thumb.jpeg.3ee133d5ecc1f39c2f6401408c387547.jpegIMG_9642.thumb.jpeg.7e17d49a657196139d7c4f4cf71ffc8d.jpeg

So beautiful sis.  I've never seen this plant before.

A client gave my husband a piece and I cut off the leaves and transplanted into this pot.  It sprouted new leaves and then the flowers.  Apparently it is better in a hanging pot so once it stops flowering I’ll transplant again.

2. Spiritual Gems(10 min.)Ps 145:15, 16—How should these verses affect the way we treat animals? (it-1 111 ¶9)

Remember this….

Sitting on my front verandah this afternoon when a butcher bird flew in….

Overview

Butcherbirds are songbirds closely related to the Australian magpie. Most are found in the genus Cracticus, but the black butcherbird is placed in the monotypic genus Melloria. They are native to Australasia.

Daydream -

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool for creativity. It causes a rush of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.

He is tiny.  Love those lizards but sadly they are extremely rare in our yard.  We only have the occasional water dragon along with the extremely occasional snake.  🐍

We have a big one in the yard somewhere, but it has to hide away from our dog, as she kills them. We have seen plenty of them through the years, as well as water dragons. We had a massive water dragon that was about 60cm (2ft) long climbing up the brickwork of our house several years ago, the biggest one I have ever scene.

We do have snakes too, but much more rarer, usually both eastern browns and red bellies. We had a snake in the building where I work last Friday, but the guys who spotted it ran out of the downstairs foyer entry that has the stair case that goes to the upstairs offices (which are seperate from our offices) and ran into our office and informed us of the snake that was in the foyer that they came from, thinking that it would come into our area. Two big burly men scared of a 35cm (16inch) baby red belly. :facepalmpo2: So I went to find it but couldn't locate it as neither one stayed to watch over the snake whilst the other reported it.

Eric, at times like this, aren't you glad you don't have a car ...

Mammoths lay under a pile of snow, for thousands of years. 😀

Honestly, in our area, we've forgotten what that much snow looks like.
