Iran is backing (and likely arming) the Shia rebel groups that effectively overthrew the "legitimate" Suni government in Yemen.

That is why Saudi Arabia (Suni) is all the sudden up in arms and bombing these groups in Yemen. Religiously they cant tolerate another Shia led government in the region as happened in Iraq and politically they dont want another Iranian ally (puppet) on their boarder (like Iraq has become).

Iran has its fingers in a lot of pies.

How long after the U.S. sent a carrier group into the gulf did this come about? Funny how a carrier group can change a countries mind on things like this.

They call peace and security first and then almost instantly they destroy religion...they cry peace when there is no peace and the reason they don't have peace could be because religious differences in their eyes and it causes them to have to end religion. It is possible that the middle eastern peace agreements could be the catalyst for their feelings of solving "some" of the world's biggest problems as pointed out in the publications.

I find it very interesting that Obama has such a push for solving international relationships that have been problems for years. He has made moves that no other president has made in trying to unite the world's governing authorities through the UN. I think I read somewhere that he holds the record for the most executive orders passed leaving out congressional process to get things passed.

It looks like President Reagan and even more so President Carter has President Obama beat by # of executive orders, but President Obama does seem to be trying. It is too bad much of it hasn't made a difference as far as peace and security around the world goes.

Yes, none will ever make a difference weir True peace and security. Here are the current orders he has signed a few more since then and he still has a couple of years before the tally should be final, but I doubt if he will surpass the Roosevelt eras. Wow! Those are some major orders getting signed during those years. Does anyone here remember if congress was distraught about those presidents passing executive orders at that time? The reason I ask is congress has acted like Obama is way out of line and has gone out of the bounds of his authority...maybe it is because of the subject of the executive orders he is passing that makes a difference to them now.

It seems - in the US - that governament is even more difunctional then ever. Any time either opposing party does some thing, they get upset - either that they didn't think of it first and get credit (if it is good) OR that it will negatively impact them and their donors in some way. So, they are constantly looking to one up each other or harm one antoher and their donors. Slefishness and greed is even more the order of the day than at any other time in hsitory (2 Tim 3:1-7 & esp 13 - from bad to worse).

Sadly, all of this negatively impacts the average person.
