I wonder who the first person was who even thought of eating slugs? Never in my wildest dreams would I have even considered it. Well other than on JWTalk I mean.:toothbrush:

The manner in which one gets the slime out of the slugs reminds me of my first and ONLY cooking of Okra! YIKES!

Personally I think eating anything with slime any where near it, is like eating a used tissue tossed out by somebody with a bad cold! GAG!

And the Israelite's complained about manna, what if He gave them slugs every morning?:chef:

I imagine eating slugs (when de-slimed etc) is not much different to eating snails, which I have done several times both in France and England.

Eating the grubs (caterpillars?) raw sounds gross, though, but cokked on the embers of a fire doesn't sound too bad. I like to try different foods - jellied eels are good (an East London delicacy) - although the pie and mash in the East End eateries is not so great.

I have seen quite a few witichy grubs in my back yard, feasting on my old trees, I keep forgetting that maybe I could put them in a salad when I dont feel like cooking!

Has anyone every thought that they might be eating cockroaches if we get thrown into prison? They are, after all, very high in protein, and free if you can catch them.

I decided that I would like mine hung up to dry out and then dipped in chocolate if possible.

Nothing bad can last forever!

What a great idea. But where would you get the chocolate in prison? Friendly guard?

The chocolate?

YES! Thats just the whole irony of the situation.

If we dream we might get chocolate then we may as well dream for something delicious to eat. (NOT cockroaches he he)
