What's the Weather like where you live?

Recommended Posts

Well, living in east Tennessee, just past the Carolinas, its getting interesting. One storm and possibly two, could hit hard. My son drives to N Carolina each week. The last devastation took its toll on the communities, knocking out roads for quite a while. Hope this isn't a repeat. I just saw a notice that the Amish have finished their last tiny home for those displaced, hope they don't see their hard work destroyed.

Outback Queensland is sweltering with temperatures more than 10 degrees Celsius above the October average, and the heat is expected to build over the coming days.

Not exactly where I live, but the same country...

And this will affect Sydney where filming takes place:

Today, we hit 29°C thanks to strong cool coastal south-easterly winds, but tommorow it will be 39°C with winds coming from the northwest bring in the hot inlamd desert heat. Then on Thursday, we will have 26°C cooler day.

It is only the middle spring here and summer doesn't start for another 6 weeks.

Im so happy to not live here anymore. I went through 2 of these storms, felt like Noah's day all over again. 😀

Seriously, it's a wretched weather event.

Oh gosh, really. Every area has a 'thing'. My new area has a 'Baptist' thing.

But truly, I love the color of your oceans, so beautiful. I'll come visit in the NS, save a room for me 🥰

Yes our beaches are beautiful.  Up in the hills are also beautiful.  We have good rainfall so very lush.  I can’t wait for NS to meet my jwtalk friends.  Come on downunder.

Im so ready to visit your area. Im from the Pacific NW of the US, it's so overrated. The beaches are brown, it's cold and tourists leave 30 trash bins of garbage every year. So glad I live in Tennessee now! Look forward to seeing your part of Jehovah's world.

We did a road trip in Tennessee in 2019.  Loved it.  We got off the main highway for some of it and got to visit some little towns.

thought about making a solo thread about this monsterous storm. It already skirted past Puerto Rico, its gonna be a direct hit for Jamaica and the Bahamas. Seems the storm system we’re getting in the states this week or next week is the reason why its not gonna hit the lower 48. I wanna say i hope everyone will be okay but with a storm like this 😕

Last I heard, about 1pm, it's stalled over warm water gathering water and power, when it hits land it's going to be bigger than Katrina. Ive never experienced such a storm but did see the aftermath in the Carolinas, it'll take years. Tragic. Then I've been seeing all the volcanoes, earthquakes etc, many people are talking about 'end times'

I am in upstate SC (the GSP area) the eye of Helene went right over us, it SUCKED. The amount of trees and houses that pretty much got damanged/uprooted is insane. I think most of us are convinced that we possibly had a few tornadoes due to the amount of extremely large trees that were just uprooted and tossed aside. We were without power for 11 days, there were some that had power for less, and I ran into one lady back earlier this year that still did not have power even months after. When it hit us it was a cat 2, i can only imagine a direct hit of a 4/5 which is what Melissa is going to be especially with how slow it is going.

Mini fact, so we have both Charter Spectrum internet and AT&T. When we lost power, AT&T had our internet back up and running in a few hours, but people were still without internet with Charter for even almost 2 months afterwards. WHenever i see people at walmart try to sell me charter i mention helene and that shuts them up real fast.

Today, after mid 30s yesterday, 17C and raining and looks to be that way all day.  This is storm season for us and on Sunday north of us were hit with large hail and extreme winds after an extremely hot day.  I’m loving the rain as this spring so far has been extremely dry and hot.  My house is on the market for sale so I am having to keep watering the lawns and garden. IMG_0519.thumb.jpeg.65ca839f8250edda66beb96ca0415dae.jpeg

Linda, that's gorgeous, I bet you'll miss it, but maybe not the maintenance? 🙂

What's in the planter box back there?
