With what is going on in Hong Kong at the moment, does anyone think they know where this is heading. Also, has anyone heard from anyone in Hong Kong as to the situation with the brothers, sisters and the preaching work?

Well I did read a story on Daily Mail, that China has PLA or their special forces preparing to enter Hong Kong to stop the protesting and violence in the city.  So again, we all have to wait and see how this goes down.  And we know that when China gets upset, it doesn't matter who you are and what status you are, if you stand in their way, they will roll those tanks in and mayhem for the entire population.  It only gets worse from here on in.

An analyst says that if Beijing will take control over Hongkong, the economic system of China will be affected much...

I also read from  our magazines before that  the economy of the world is interconnected to each other.. What happened to the other will have great impact to the other..

Well, Im deeply concerned of what's happening in Venezuela, Russia and rest of people suffering in the world... Bring it on... Let them cry for peace  and security.

I don't understand the connection

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

With all the outstanding debt these world powers have piled up and their premier source of revenue crippled and an active hostile state between the KOTN and The KOTS they will have to hammer out a way to pay for their peace. The great untapped assets of religions world wide are just sitting there waiting to be taken. For the sake of peace and security.

Well we are seeing this reality unfolding NOW , today, before our eyes. The US stock markets fell 800 points today . Extending several very bad days. Meanwhile the potential for any US - China agreements on trade will be tied closely to how China handles Hk.

Here is what I know. Hong Kong, apart from a few years under Japanese occupation during WW2, has long been a British colony or under British rule and benefitted from refugees fleeing mainland China during the time of the Chinese communist revolution.

It was always by tendency a very liberal country and therefore also a foothold for the truth to be preached in the Chinese language.

As far as I know, most of the judges in the Hong Kong judicial system are British nationals despite that handover to China in 1997. In Hong Kong there is a level of freedom

of opinion and political (as well as religious) expression that simply isn't compatible with the mindset of the Chinese government. That is why most Hong Kong nationals do not want to consider themselves part of China, and many were upset when Britain gave Hong Kong back to China. When the handover took place, the idea was

Quote

In accordance with the "One country, two systems" principle agreed between the United Kingdom and the People's Republic of China, the socialist system of the People's Republic of China would not be practised in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), and Hong Kong's previous capitalist system and its way of life would remain unchanged for a period of 50 years. This would have left Hong Kong unchanged until 2047.

- wikipedia

Looks like China is growing somewhat impatient almost 30 years ahead of this deadline.

Therefore, China had the "brilliant idea" of passing a law that allows it to extradite "suspicious" persons such as dissidents etc. to be indefinitely detained on the Chinese mainland, hence trying to circumvent the legal circumstances in place until 2047

This caused the people in Hong Kong to revolt against the Chinese government and this revolt is going to lead to a fully fledged independence movement.

China will not accept this and will use any means necessary to quell the revolt. They tried quelling the revolts by employing hooligans hired by the Triad mafia, that failed. They tried using the police force, that failed. Now they are talking about using the mainland military. We are possibly looking at a new Tian'Anmen massacre in the next weeks. We have yet to see how the rest of the world will react to what will happen.

All I can say is, we have 5.500 brothers and sisters in Hong Kong in 63 congregations there as well as a branch office. Please, pray for our brothers safety there.

There is a fine line here. If China goes after them with an iron fist, then they might pay the price financially. This is not 1989.

I remember listening to a recent news report and the reporter said that he had been speaking with a Hong Kong resident and they said that Hong Kong is the golden goose that China would love to take but China knows economically and reputation wise (to the international world) it would not look good for them - but they said they think that despite the consequences China is so desperate to retake Hong Kong that they think China will go ahead and do this despite the consequences.

KOFN, Russia, and it's allies, China.  The Chinese government upset that their demo-communist citizens (particularly the youth) are revolting.  China has a vast mount of wealth in it's territory.  We have to wait and see if China will cause a major blood bath in the city.  Ah, really working hard as best we ca in the ministry in whatever capacity we can do it.  Then the rest of the  prophecy's left will roll in.  Are we at Daniel 11 maybe half through the chapter? Next chapter 12, Michael stands up?  I can't think of this going on, and all those young people slaughtered in the streets of Hong Kong. Our brothers and sister's caught in the middle. Well one great thing, it's none of us out there causing all this mayhem.

Not that it makes a difference. As you saw in Russia, we are quickly purported to be an American freemason organization pulling strings in secret and manipulating people against the government. That may not be the truth, but hey, truth is relative, what is truth?
