Major incident in Nova Scotia. Denturist killed many people, numbers not released other than one RCMP female officer killed one wounded.

Fires, destruction etc.

Police media on right now CTV.

Just mentioned over 10 dead, some sites still being investigated as it was over a wide area.

Yes, I read a little about that this morning. But I thought someone had already been arrested at that time. It's continuing...

Latest. At least 14 dead includes the shooter.

Latest tonight. 16 dead besides the shooter. Not released how many shot and not dead, if any other than one policeman. Several fires set too and explosions at homes - maybe propane tanks as was a rural area.

You would never think of such things out in peaceful NS. How sad. I will contact my friend out there.

1 PM EDT news update. 19+ confirmed dead and 5 structures/homes burned down - homes that have yet to be examined.

Expect count to increase since much of this happened over night.

16 crime scenes - he burned police car that officer killed arrived in.

 

1st village only 100 residents rises to 250 in summer tourist season. Took everyone by surprise. No phone alert given - just twitter.
