I learned to grow roses from Dad and followed in his footsteps with a large rose garden. At one time I had 400 bushes but now under 200 bushes with many other types of flowering plants in their place. I got tired of just seeing sticks in the winter. My wife is alergic to fragrance so she doesn't come out much and I can't bring them in the house unless they have no fragrance. Why have a rose if it doesn't smell.

Of the 400 roses, some beds had ten of the same variety. Maybe only 300 varieties. Now much less.

I have never heard of putting a rose in vinegar so I can't help you with that one.

My favorite is the Forget-Me-Not like in my avatar. They're small but pretty and remind me of when I was a kid playing in the stream by our house. They grew all over the banks and the whole place smelled of fresh mint that grew there also. Good times :)

And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

Love the blue rose Chris!

This is hard, there are soooo many beautiful flowers, I don't think I have a favorite.

I love roses, orchids, carnations, even the simplicity of a white daisy to me is beautiful.

I live in Texas, and in April and May, Texas gets a beautiful array of wildflowers and I love them all. Driving down a road and seeing all these flowers growing wild is beautiful. The state flower is the Bluebonnet, and it's so pretty.

Those are the bluebonnets!!!!

They grow every where down here, millions of them all over the place. I saw a few popping up the other day and I got so excited. Texas has a website where you can find the best wildflower drives to take.

Spring time in Texas can be very pretty, once you get out of the city, lol.

This is my absolutely all time favorite flower. Queen Anne's Lace is also called Wild Carrot and smells just like an uprooted carrot when picked. This one looks like a snowflake. http://www.ontariowildflower.com/images/queen_ann_lace_op.jpg

Each section is like a tiny bouquet of flowers in clusters rigged together with other clusters to form the whole.

Here is one in color. Each tiny flower resembles a daisy or sometimes an orchid. And at it's center is a dot of purple or lavender. Jehovah is amazing in his delicacy of such exquisite detail. WHAT AN ARTIST he is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
