On Monday, the Justice Department labeled New York City, Portland and Seattle such areas, though the department said it was still working to identify other jurisdictions that meet criteria outlined in Trump's memo. The president has made ridicule of those cities a regular feature of his campaign appearances and mocked their top officials for their responses to the violence that has taken place during the protests.

Barr said in a statement accompanying the DOJ's announcement, "We cannot allow federal tax dollars to be wasted when the safety of the citizenry hangs in the balance. It is my hope that the cities identified by the Department of Justice today will reverse course and become serious about performing the basic function of government and start protecting their own citizens."

This guy Jake Gardner committed suicide after being indicted for self defense, but the mainstream media won't stop smearing him and making it look like he was a racist when he was acting in self defense.

Can't have cops cuz cops are "racist", can't have people defending themselves, because that's "racist".
It's getting so infuriating.
I saw an old post from Ferb who stated he didn't think the world's thinking would become so insane, and honestly, I think the insanity of the extreme ways people think is way more annoying than the lack of morals.

In short, it's unstopped violence, because it's racist to try to stop the violence in 2020.

Racism permeates in imperfect  mankind. If he was innocent why commit suicide?check the race relations in the world ....check the united states how races have been treated in the last 100 years...people  cry now because you cant get away with whatever and are now reaping what  has been sown on the mistreatment of people ..thankfully my trust is in JEHOVAH.. They are not stopping any violence until people are treated properly and it will not be in this system we live in.

The article reveals that he served multiple tours in Iraq and was a known sufferer of PTSD.  Maybe, just maybe, having his business attacked and the streets around it transformed into a war zone. Then having to take a life in self defense may have brought his military past excruciatingly into his civilian present.

Well, let's see:

  • Dirt track racing went mainstream to become NASCAR - although they do still turn left
  • Drag racing went from the shade-tree and back-roads to corporate sponsorship and the NHRA is almost as big as NASCAR
  • Formula 1 has held it's own and the US still has world renown venues
  • 12 horsed have won the Triple Crown - Sir Barton was first to win it in 1919 and Secretariat (1973) still holds speed and distance victory records
  • There are now professional Drone races (DRL) with the drones flying at nearly 180mph doing unbelievable aerobatics negotiating an obstacle course
  • Geoffrey Mutai set the record for the New York Marathon covering the 26.219 miles (42.195 km) in 2:05:06 in 2011 - although the race is only 50 years old, not 100
  • Geoffrey Mutai also hold the record for the Boston Marathon at 2:03:02
  • Usain Bolt is considered to be the "fastest man on earth"  - his world record 100-meter dash stands at 9.58 seconds, or 27.73 miles per hour
  • American swimmer Michael Phelps is the most decorated Olympian, having won 28 medals in both individual and team events (23 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze). Phelps has also won more individual events than any other Olympian, with 16 medals - these are "races", not diving medals
  • Until 1903, trains held the land speed record for fastest vehicles in which people could travel. In the 1920's cars became faster than trains and the current land speed record is 763.035 mph (1227.986 km/h) - first to break the speed of sound in a land vehicle
  • China's CR400BF are the world's fastest conventional high-speed trains in regular service at the moment traveling at 217.5 MPH (350 KM/H)
  • William "Pete" Knight still holds the fastest time for a manned aircraft under power in the X-15. Its maximum speed was Mach 6.70 (about 7,200 km/h) which it attained on the 3rd of October 1967
  • In 1981 Joe H. Engle did record the fastest manually controlled flight in atmosphere during atmospheric reentry of STS-2 mission at 17,500 mph ( 28,000 km/h) in the Space Shuttle Columbia - but he was gliding ... not under power

The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race is an annual long-distance sled dog race run in early March from Anchorage to Nome.

The Iditarod began in 1973 as an event to test the best sled dog mushers and teams but evolved into today's highly competitive race.

Teams generally race through blizzards causing whiteout conditions, sub-zero temperatures and gale-force winds which can cause the wind chill to reach −100 °F (−73 °C).

Those poor dogs!

It's crazy. The more I see the violence the more I wonder how they will be saying "Peace and Security".

We sure live in interesting times. We can send people to live in outer space, but can't help out our own neighbor or walk down the street in security.

My dad passed away in 1999 and I thought then "I can't wait to tell him all the stuff that happened after he died up to when he was resurrected."  Then Sep 11, 2001 happened and I thought - not much longer. Then 2007/8 financial crash and now a 2020 global pandemic and riots all over the place - if this goes much longer I'm going to be forgetting stuff.

Won't the fresh air of true peace be refreshing! Meanwhile, we have to work hard at doing our best to be Peacemakers - especially in our families, congregations and communities.

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)

Soon .....

The longest distance ever run three-legged in 24 hours is 109.8 km (68.23 miles) and was achieved by Mark Howlett (Ely, Cambs, England) and Rab Lee (Bo'ness, Scotland), at the Glenmore 24 Hour Trail Race, in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland, on 7–8 September 2013.[2] This is also the longest distance ever run three-legged. Mark Howlett and Rab Lee invented 'The Maverick' technique, where one person leans slightly in front of the other to enable faster running.

The world record for the most pairs in a three-legged race is 649, set in 2013 on the Isle of Man. An August 2014 attempt in Canberraorganised by National Rugby League team Canberra Raiders failed; only 543 pairs competed.[3]
I would never have guessed this race could be taken so seriously.

I love the Isle of Man!!!

The next Ireland/ Scotland / UK trip - we are DEFINITELY going to add it. I'm not sure how keen Deb will be about a 3 legged race though. We'll see.  😉

(YouTube video of racing action, a bit over 2 minutes, no dialogue but some background music, like that sweet sweet sound of tuned pipes and high RPM)..
