Wonder if the turkeys think they taste like chicken?  

 

Hubby was watching CBS Sunday Morning Show and the reporter was sampling a cicada cookie.

I am a member of a couple of snake id pages, and they are warning that snakes, especially copperheads love the cicadas and will sometimes congregate around trees to eat them..so, peeps, be careful outside especially around dusk and afterwards..

I'm in Florida now, but I grew up in Bethesda, Md. and I remember this same scenario when I was quite young..

On my way back from running an errand I saw one of these things on my porch.  It was a "battle of the stares" as we were eye-to-eye! 👀👀

 

I think the cicada won....😳
