Drooped

Haa haa!!😄

Well, it is only a droop really, since it is only for 6 months.  The government has seen gain in cutting the excise tax by half, as I said for election purposes.  But after that we joing the rest of the world in the upward surge.

Here in central Washington state, gas dropped from 4.31 to 4.16.  We have the cheapest gas in the state

Here on the coast of Washington I paid nearly 6.00 for diesel. Half a tank was 80.00! Needless to say I drive slowly now and a lot less.

Petrol prices have fallen!!!! 😳

Drooped to $1.62 litre 92 unleaded. Last time I filled up it was $2.12.

But we in Australia know why. Election sweetner, but I still won’t be voting for him 🤣🤣.

They have reduced tax excise by 20cents per litre, sneaky yeah? As you commented earlier only for six months.

The California Governor is proposing to give every registered automobile owner a $400 rebate debit card. It's election year..:lol1:

Exactly!  Relief that is not even a bandaid solution. We are getting $250 timed to arrive just before we vote in around 2 months.  Supposed to be "for cost of living rises"..... Wow, didn't know they cared! Ok, back to being neutral, cause I'm still not voting for them...😉

When I was in middle school, they said gasoline is about to be used up..

Now where is all this oil coming from?

Do you buy everything you read? 😂  Much of the earth's oil and gas has not even been discovered.  Before the 1990's for example Russia's oil and gas had barley been tapped.  It took American and Western tech.  to find and develop their ability to produce more than they use. In the USA their are huge deposits that are known but not tapped, for example northern Alaska.  Our family for example are sitting on the mineral rights to 1000 acres in Utah for which shale oil is known to exist but regarded as not profitable enough to go after.  Will our ship ever come in, who cares, we don't.

Gas prices in my neck of the woods (the cheapest) $4.51.  I have a membership with a gas station and I can get .05 (cents) off.   Not much but better then paying the full price. My state took away the gas tax .37 cents, for 30 days.  That was back in April.   Gas prices in U.S.A., were going up before Russia decided to take over Ukraine.  There has been talk from those who have big rigs like 18 Wheeler's that bring supplies to all chain stores in the USA, that they cannot go on filling their double tanks.  Diesel prices are just as high or more in some places then regular gasoline.

According to the new, the average price of gas in California is over $6 a gallon. We were able to fill up at Sams Club this morning for $5.69 a gallon.

Recently our petrol went up to $1.96 or outright $2 per litre

It's cheaper to fly these days

I am flying to Brisbane for far less then would cost to drive there. (Well it's always been like that, but recently is even more so)

I was holding back to fill up my car (dual tanks). I had hoped the price would go down. I was wrong.
I spent over AUD $275.
My last fill was closer to$200.
My next fill will probably be over $300.
Ouch

I paid cash for this car a few months ago. I might need to take out a Bank loan to run the thing!
