I’m not sure about in the US but here the churches regularly zoom their meetings

Zoom only?

I know here during the pandemic churches jumped through some hoops trying to get people to attend in-person.  Some met in drive in theaters or other locations where people could sit in their car but still pass the plate.

It's all about the money.

In the lower mainland of BC there were a handful of churches that tried to stay in person when gatherings were restricted during the height of this pandemic, but they got fined and I think locked out in a couple instances.

A few definitely used Hebrews 10:25 "not forsaking your gathering together" as being only possible in-person, not to mention turning it political by "fighting" government overreach, some also claimed vaccines are evil 😅, it was a lot.

I would say most churches around us (and there are lots) still either use Zoom, Facebook Live, stream on YouTube or have their own websites with live streaming on top of in-person, definitely some heavily emphasize how to give money!

President Trump says he has ordered a “decisive” military action against Houthi rebels in Yemen, opening a new salvo against the Iran-backed group that has targeted shipping lanes in the Red Sea.

Trump said the US would deploy “overwhelming lethal force” against the group “until we have achieved our objective.” “This is not a one off. This is the beginning of an ongoing series of events that will last days if not weeks,” a source familiar with the strategy told CNN. “There is not and will not be an invasion or troops on ground. But there will be a series of ongoing strategic targeted attacks.”https://edition.cnn.com/2025/03/15/politics/trump-houthis-military-action/index.html

Meanwhile, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said that the Houthi's "benefactor", Iran, was "on notice".https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c05mvr3j3yro

No they do both, and they have continued to use a zoom connection for funerals as well as in person

It mostly means…. Hey how are you, do you have any news that I’ve not heard and can gossip with you about

It also means a good time had when socialising…. Like…. The pub was great craic last night

And that illustrates my thought. If churches could never again own property or meet in person most would shut down.

Of course I think the attack on BtG will be more than simply confiscating property and prohibiting religion from owning property.

And doing away with religious fervor, including holidays emblems etc etc.

Daniel 11:44,45 states But reports out of the east and out of the north will disturb him, and he will go out in a great rage to annihilate and to devote many to destruction. 45 And he will plant his royal tents between the grand sea and the holy mountain of Decoration; and he will come all the way to his end, and there will be no helper for him.

It does sound like putin at the moment he is increasingly isolated on the world stage, the fact that it says there will be no helper for him also reaffirms putins isolation. But whether this a future Kotn it remains to be seen. I certainly hope that it is not.

Putin has a lot of allies right now, but I thought the first part in verse 45 had already happened when Russia persecuted Witnesses. Does anyone else know when these verses are supposed to happen?

Verse 45 is quite interesting

the word “royal” is a transliteration from the sanscrit word “APADNO” which refers to a palace located in Iran

Eph. 3:20 “Now to the one who can, according to his power that is operating in us, do more than superabundantly beyond all the things we ask or conceive”

We know for sure Russia and it's allies ARE the KoTN ... there's nothing more to know on that. We are now awaiting the prophecy surrounding Rev 17:17 and 1 Thessalonians 5:3 ... then it's all on.

I did have the thought the other day, that Putin has been pushed into the background with recent events, can't see him sitting there twiddling his thumbs though, he'll be up to something. They are all power hungry and will be trying everything to hold on to that.

I try to remember that all the action starts behind closed doors, we only get to see what leaks out, or the end result of things. That's why the FDS said that we may only see some fulfillment of prophecy with hindsight.

Can you imagine how they will react to not celebrating Christmas?

personally I think they will simply take the religion part out of it and continue to celebrate it as a peace day or gift day..

Possibly.  There won't be the commercial presence though.

Revelation indicates that BtG being destroyed will make the merchants weep.  Merchants definitely will weep if Christmas and Easter are gone.

Well the government already removed some "holidays/events" off google calendars (Blavk history month, pride month, and im sure several others). So the possibility of them removing other holidays wouldnt surprise me. I mean i know those holidays arent religious but why not start small and go big?
