Yes Donald j. Trump is the modern-day Sherlock Holmes. He didn't even listen to the intelligence community nor the briefings that he got during the transition from the last administration. But all by his own in almost 3 years this Sherlock Holmes figure out that Putin didn't want to or plan on ending the war. This stuff can't even made up. Lol 🤣 😹 😂

I literally just went through this with a brother in my congregation. He absolutely detests Trump, so I challenged him to find five good things to say about the man...not because I was trying to be provocative...but because I think that JEHOVAH can look at him and point out at least SOME things that are positive about him.

 

I never used to believe that neutrality could be such a big issue among the friends, I am slowly finding out otherwise...but I am equally confident that the brothers and sisters who struggle with this can pull themselves back to neutral... it's just harder for them...like the personal issues that I deal with...I am trying my hardest to beat them...but it's not easy.

 

So I think of those...like I think of my own issues...we must trust one another...and we must continue to fight hard against the accuser of ALL of us... Satan!

I found what a brother said at our local needs talk very helpful on this matter and helps me keep things in perspective so maybe it can help others.  He said with regards to neutrality- try not to "criticize or praise" any political figures.  When I catch myself doing anything like that, it helps me to stop in my tracks and change subject.  It just makes things personally easier for me because it is hard to be neutral at times- I think it is our sinful inclination to draw us towards or away from people and sometimes it is those in political power that we have to be more aware of.  Hope this helps!

I think satan, in recent years, has purposely seen to it that presidents, Prime Ministers, etc, are put in office to tempt Jehovah’s servants to lose their neutrality. In seems like in times past many presidents were put in office that were considered to have likeable personalities. But now satan has put people in place that he knows is going to cause vitriol and division.

Hopefully the power recovers soon. It's crazy how the entirety of 2 countries can have a power outage just like that.

It is interesting to see how the personality traits listed in 2Tim3:1-4 are showing up in areas that you expect to see more maturity. In the past it wasn't unusual to see a variety of personalities in the governments, but it always seemed like that was a role they played. There was still a level of respect, common courtesy and maturity. Now it seems that many people in the government are openly childish, bullies, antagonist, confrontational. I agree with you, many governmental officials are openly offending our sense of propriety just to elicit a response. (such as this comment)

I agree. Kind of off subject, but no other part of that prophecy sticks out more to me in these last days than “lovers of themselves.” With the advent of social media, this has really become apparent. 

#selfie, #selfie. You scroll on apps like Instagram and see so many people who post as if to say look at me, look at how beautiful I am, or look at my muscles. 

You click on some peoples page and they literally don't have pictures of other people, places and experiences. It’s just full of pictures and videos of them. 

It really is sad.

last Easter cessation of hostilities just has been used by Russian trrops to move army froces throught drone-contrlolled "death zones", demining and preparations for assaults.

As far as the beggining of May is planning big Russian operation and many troops accumulated, there is no doubt that this "truce" will be used just as a cover for preparations for an offensive.
