Peace and Security, Great Tribulation, Armageddon

Simple and to the point - excellent!!

Would God permit nuclear war?

The Bible does not say. It does say that “fearful sights,” or terrifying events, would occur in our day. (Luke 21:11) An example of such events includes atomic bombs being dropped during the Second World War. The Bible explains why God has permitted wars. To learn more, watch the video Why Does God Allow Suffering?

 Will planet Earth survive?

Yes. Even if man were to use nuclear weapons again, God would not allow the situation to escalate to the point of global annihilation. The Bible says that our planet will not only survive threats to its existence but will also host human life forever.

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)

Though today’s warheads are vastly more powerful, I was struck by something: the total destruction caused by the bombs dropped on Japan maxed out at around 3 square miles each.

Of course, the suffering extended well beyond that radius—but in terms of actual flattening? That was the scope.

Now, the zone of destruction today might be 8 or even 10 square miles, but honestly… if you’re standing in it, you’re not exactly comparing stats. Whether it’s a little crater or a big one, you’re still part of the before-and-after photo.

But the bigger point? We’re not living in fear of those miles. Not anymore. We’re living for the eternity beyond them.

I am not saying nukes will be used against us, but different forms of attack could be deployed in various places… no doubt it’s going to be very interesting to see how Gog will try to synchronise this and how it leads to Armageddon.

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)

So 2 nukes exploding in Manhattan (22 sg miles) could kill 2 milion people. And psychologically its beyond imagination.

Still, I guess only tactical nukes may be used in the future and I hope theyre not

North Korea could try to prove they are big enough to play with the big boys and bomb Hawaii to prove it. Population 1.5 million. That may not trigger an immediate response if Russia and China protect North Korea and threaten to respond to any reaction from the US. If North Korea bombed Hawaii, it could cause the nations to turn to the UN for P&S.

As Osprey points out, all Jehovah's people would need to be concentrated in one location for a nuke to be used specifically against us.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Keep in mind that Gog consists of a ‘coalition of nations’. Since we are all over the world, the nations would have to coordinate their response in their own respective countries, in order to get to as many of us as possible.

Exactly how this will happen remains to be seen, but one thing is obvious: they will be out for blood.

But whatever they do, and however long it lasts, (the fact that the anointed will be gathered during this time indicates that it will last for a period of time) the end result is the same: ultimate defeat at Armageddon.

Leviticus 19:18: “‘You must not take vengeance nor hold a grudge against the sons of your people, and you must love your fellow man as yourself.”

Definitely hope we never see nuclear weapons again but can't count it out of the picture

I am fairly confident in saying that if North Korea bombed Hawaii that there would not be too much left of that country before very long.

This. We cannot rule out some nuclear weapon being deployed. If we are certain that it will not happen, and at some point it does happen again, would we be too shocked? Maybe even think that Jehovah lost control? No, Jehovah will not lose control even if nuclear weapon explodes. We should not lose mind, and we can still be confident that Earth will not be destroyed even if consequences of such explosion can be severe.

I prefer to be concentrated in one of the 144000 extermination camps in the GT, right before Armageddon. The nations would be for a BIG surprise.

For all the nukes humans posess, they are still no match whatsoever for a spirit creature. Honestly wouldn’t even call Armageddon much of a fight. The nations won’t have a single leg to stand on lol

do the math

1 angel kills 185k give it a time period

only number we have for angels count is in revelations at 200 million.

37 trillion deaths lets say in an hour. divide by seconds. 3600  = 10 billion.... over in a a second.

then factor in Jehovah as an added bonus.

(Pops out of nowhere)

Couldnt all the governments demand that all witnesses report to x location? Wouldnt we have to listen due to them being the government? Or would this be too unreasonable? I guess they could also just say Christians as well to grab even more people.

I have a question.  Been reading through this thread over the past year or so (trying to catch up on old posts, etc).  And other similar threads like "What convinces you personally that the GT is near".  A common theme in both is for most of the posters (and mind you, I am generalizing quite a lot here) are quite focused on desiring the final days to be here already or hoping very much for this system of things to end.  Is this a more common "feeling" the past several years?  How were the brothers and sisters sentiments about this stuff back in the 1930s or 50s or 80s?  I am just curious if it is normal emotions throughout these last days spanning the decades or is it a more of a recent decade thing?  I hope I am making sense.  Thank you for any input!

We're the same as it was in First century.

Just keep on the watch ! We will get there sooner or later 😀 🤠 😅 🤣.

Please 🥺 see the following scriptures below 👇🏾.

(Luke 19:11) 11 While they were listening to these things, he told another illustration, because he was near Jerusalem and they thought that the Kingdom of God was going to appear instantly.

(Luke 24:21) 21 But we were hoping that this man was the one who was going to deliver Israel. Yes, and besides all these things, this is the third day since these things occurred.

(Acts 1:6) 6 So when they had assembled, they asked him: “Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?”

Here in Brazil, there's a collective hysteria happening over reborn dolls. Many people, with fragile mental health, are buying these dolls and treating them like real children — even taking them to hospitals, saying they have a fever and need care. Some couples are even fighting for custody of these dolls. Their mental health is seriously affected, and many people are saying the end of the world has come and that Jesus needs to come back... lol. Some cities are even creating laws to establish a 'Reborn Baby Day' and to recognize the artisans who make them.

They are silicone babies, very realistic.

Thinking back to 20 years ago, I don't remember the friends constantly saying that we need the new world, and that they hope the end is close, and that it looks like it can't go on much longer and things like that.

Of course every now and then it was mentioned, but not constantly, like now.

And growing up, in the 80s and 90s, the only time I really heard talk about the great tribulation, Armageddon.... was during a talk and the Watchtower study. No one ended mentioned anything in casual conversation.

I was taught and knew it was a fact that Armageddon could come any day. But no one ever said that they can't wait for the end to come or that it looks like the end is near.
