The statue in Nebuchadnezzar's dream is hit at the feet.  The statute progressively starts to fall not instantly.  The feet are taken out first and then the statute starts to descend.

 

Jehovah knows what he is doing and has everything under control.  The last kingdom is already on its way out and from our vantage point Jehovah will pull the rug from underneath the statute as the stone from the mountain strikes it.  And according to Daniel, it is already as good as done.

 

All other empires will follow.  As of now the empires are all falling steadily, gradually, slowly but most definitely!  Ex. Israel, Palestine, Russia, Ukraine, China, Korea, USA and other powerful countries are in a struggle for power.  Power that does not belong to man.

 

Both the King of the south and north will be taken down by Jehovah abruptly, instantly, entirely and surprisingly swift.

 

It does not matter what governments are doing.  It is really out of their hands.  Jehovah is manuevering the governments so His word will be accomplished.

 

So, lets pay attention to prophecies, scriptures and heed the Governing Body.  We all can come up with lots of ideas but,  Jehovah is the one that will fulfill his purpose and bring it to a swift end.  It is not ours to surmise how it will come to its end.  We already know the outcome and, Its above our pay grade.

 

So many useless debates and ideas when the Scriptures have already answered how the situation on hand will end.

Really I think it's all about balance, we're told to be watchful and waiting and ready to go, and yet at the same time we don't have all the answers...so we have the tendency to try to fill in the blanks, even if we acknowledge that they are indeed blanks. 

 

It's perfectly fine to wonder and consider and question and even daydream...but I think it comes down to balance and being able to come back to "center" once the discussions are over with...and I think everyone's done a good job of adding "disclaimers", so to speak, after what they say.

 

And I'm even finding out that what one person considers balanced maybe another person's "way out of whack".

 

But ultimately true Christian love simply covers all...over and over and over again until the love is all you see...all that remains! 💕

It's ironic that weeks before we start our worldwide campaign promoting God's Kingdom as the only solution to bring an end to war, that the world is promoting world leaders and their diplomatic efforts as the solution. Significantly, in the historical record about developments long before Adam’s time, we find such expressions as: “God went on to say.” (Gen. 1:6, 9, 14, 20, 24) Obviously, Jehovah was not speaking to a human on earth, for man had not yet been created.

 

It is logical, therefore, to conclude that Genesis 6:3 expresses God’s resolve to end the corrupt system of things on earth. Jehovah issued a judicial decree to do so in 120 years, though Noah was not yet aware of that. But why set a time limit? Why wait?

 

The apostle Peter provides reasons: “The patience of God was waiting in Noah’s days, while the ark was being constructed, in which a few people, that is, eight souls, were carried safely through the water.” (1 Pet. 3:20) Yes, when God made his determination concerning 120 years, there were things remaining to be done. Some 20 years later, Noah and his wife began to have children. (Gen. 5:32; 7:6) Their three sons grew up and married, bringing the family up to “eight souls.” Then they had to build the ark, which was no quick task considering its size and the size of Noah’s family. Yes, God’s patience for 120 years allowed for those things to be accomplished and set the stage for the preservation of life, allowing eight faithful humans to be “carried safely through the water.”

 

The Bible does not specify the year in which Jehovah informed Noah that the Flood would occur. Inasmuch as his sons had been born, had grown up, and had married, possibly 40 or 50 years remained before the Flood. Then Jehovah said to Noah: “The end of all flesh has come before me.” He added that Noah was to build a huge ark and go into it with his family. (Gen. 6:13-18) During the remaining decades, Noah did more than provide an example of righteousness by his life. He served as “a preacher of righteousness” who had a very pointed warning message to declare—God’s determination to bring to ruin the ungodly of that time. Noah did not know long in advance in what year that would be, but he knew that it definitely would come. And you know that it did.—2 Pet. 2:5.
