In truth, we are probably the least neutral people on earth! We are 100% for God's Kingdom under Jesus Christ, and will not be swayed from that commitment.

And that is what the "sacred secret" is about isn't it? ... The "secret" that there really is unquestionable, undebatable, objective truth to be discovered.

BTW: I love Br. Loesch's discussion on that very topic. There are certain things that are undebateable truths; such as: Either there is water in the oceans, or there isn't. Either there are stars up in the sky, or there isn't. Either God exists, or he doesn't, ... and so on. Such unshakeable facts don't reach the heart with warmth so much, but it does meet standards of pure logical reasoning at the very least and leads to thoughts who's answers might warm the heart.

Only truly unreasonable people would try to be clever, twisting themselves up mentally, speaking logic pretzels; coming up with imaginative rabbit hole theories to deny these knowable certainties.

So true. So nice to know the truth, since for the last days, Jesus said it'd be a copy of the ones in Noah's time. They have access to the facts of signs but they take no note. Same with evolution, they've got access to the evidence it's impossible for life to come from nothing, but they choose to be stubborn basically spiritually asleep, because it really is inexcusable to look at all the complexity and the universe and say nothing caused it

I often say that our neutrality is not neutral, insofar as it makes sense. We are neutral because we have already chosen, and there is no room for anything else.

Even then, I find that non-Witnesses will think you are of their political persuasion when you are simply trying to find common ground.

You know what we need is a magazine that clearly discusses an end to war & violence ....

And then we should have a global campaign to distribute it ..... :bouncing:

I wonder how that works since not all are permanent members and there are only 12 months in a year.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Thanks.

This is what Google says

Temporary members of the UN Security Council serve two-year terms. These non-permanent members are elected annually by the UN General Assembly for staggered two-year terms. Each year, five new members are elected to fill five of the ten non-permanent seats.

Here is a breakdown of how the 15 seats are filled:

Five permanent members: China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States hold their seats permanently and do not rotate.

Ten non-permanent members: These members are elected by the General Assembly for two-year terms. The election process is staggered so that five new non-permanent members are chosen each year.

How the rotation works

The rotation ensures that the composition of the Security Council evolves gradually. Consider how the non-permanent seats transition from one year to the next:

In Year 1, five non-permanent members are elected and begin their two-year terms on January 1. They serve alongside the five permanent members and the other five non-permanent members who were elected the previous year.

In Year 2, a new election takes place for another five non-permanent seats. These members will begin their terms on January 1 of the following year. Meanwhile, the five non-permanent members who were elected in Year 1 continue to serve their second year.

In Year 3, the five non-permanent members elected in Year 1 conclude their terms, and the new members elected in Year 2 begin their first year. The cycle repeats, with five seats turning over every January.

Therefore, the group of 15 members serving at any one time is composed of the five permanent members and two different "classes" of five non-permanent members, each on a different year of their two-year term.

This video is interesting. The turmoil from even before 1914 is striking.

(It’s quite long but you could increase the speed or jump ahead.)

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man. Ec 12:13
